Absolutely fantastic golf experience from start to finish. The course was in pristine condition with some of the best greens I’ve played on — smooth, fast, and perfectly maintained. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making everyone feel welcome from check-in to the final hole. Pace of play was excellent too; we finished our round quickly without ever feeling rushed. For the quality of the course and service, the value was outstanding. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great day of golf.

Just played here and wasn’t sure what to expect from all the negative reviews. It seems the course put a lot of work to recondition the greens as all were fast and in excellent condition. Maybe 2 or 3 had some small patches where the turf had some issue, but nothing like what was mentioned before.

Wild rock has been one of my favorite tracks in Wisconsin. The layout is incredible and I consider just about every hole a signature hole. Last year was extremely difficult season with long stretches of hot, humid, and wet weather which is extremely difficult from a maintenance standpoint. The reviews from last year can speak for themself. Fast forward to 2026 and man this is the best I’ve seen this course in the 10 years I’ve played it. Greens were true and the perfect speed, trees were removed to promote airflow and great views, and of course the hospitality was top notch. Kudos to the Wilderness Resort and the maintenance team to bringing back great conditions. An absolute must play

Played Wild Rock for the first time in a few years. I saw some of the reviews about the greens but that was last year. The staff told me they replaced and upgraded, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Man, they were right. The greens this season are fantastic. Some of the smoothest, perfect speed greens I've played all year. They've also enhanced some of the holes, removing some trees creating amazing views. Some holes feel completely new. Hope to go back soon, as it's better than ever.

This course is incredible. It's the best design outside of Sand Valley and Kohler. The conditions of the greens can sometimes be a low point but they're doing tons of work to improve them. Every green to my understanding is getting some work done and they're clearing out trees to help as well. I played twice this year and the greens were coming along nicely. Either way they're still really good and the overall design/ascetic is well worth the play. This is a big boy course and can play as difficult as you want it. It's a fantastic experience here and I highly recommend you give it a play. 1/3 the price of Sand Valley and 3/4 the course. It's a no brainer to me.
