Just wanted to share my experience at Grant Golf Course. Booking online was totally easy no issues, when I walked into the clubhouse to check in for golf, there was a small old lady chain smoking out in front of the entrance to the clubhouse. I was not greeted by staff but had to speak up for my father and I stating our tee time as the front desk guy could not be bothered. I let the front desk staff know that we would have three and a rider as my wife has not played golf but wanted to enjoy the nice summer day with our mother and father as they and drove up from out of state to golf with us. The rude front desk staff pulled out a sign that wasn't facing towards the customers side that stated "no riders or spectators on weekends". The front desk guy explained that the 4th who booked with us would be in my cart and that my wife wouldn't be able to ride. He also explained that they were trying to reduce the amount of carts going out, which turned out to be false. Approx 10 mins later the front desk staff gave the 4th their own cart, breaking their own rules. I decided that my wife would still ride with me since they couldn't follow the exact instructions they told me they were doing and also she's not doing or hurting anybody by hanging out in my cart. We got to about the 5th hole when the chain smoking old lady came out with her cart giving us a hard time as my wife was only riding with us. The old lady patted the seat and said "c'mon hunny" as if my wife was going to ride with her. My wife and family left the course from the 5th hole without further issues from staff. Staff should have consistency with the people that come golf at this course. Telling people one thing and doing the complete opposite is rude and it just makes it sound like the rules are made up. My family and I will not be returning after this negative experience.

Very nice golf course, well maintained with wide fare ways. This course is wide but excellent for beginners or professionals. I enjoyed a great day on the course. Did the night golf too which was amazing. 100% would go back. I walked the course but you can rent a golf cart. Prices are fair.

Did a decompression day and started with golf at Grant Park. It's an 18 hole course, but we only played 9 holes. It has a beautiful setting and is somewhat short. It has an urban course feel, even though it's in a park and is near Lake Michigan. Nice enough course but probably not worth 5 stars. I would recommend it, but it's not the high end golf experience many people would prefer. But I knew that going in.

The bigger gentleman in there was an asshole today for no reason. This place needs better customer engagement because of that guy. He slapped a beer out of my hand in front of my friends because he thought I was under age. I showed him my ID and my legal age and he wouldn’t refund. unacceptable.

The larger man working the front desk was beyond rude. We showed up for our tee time and he couldn’t understand how to use to computer and took his frustration out on us. Multiple times he raised his voice at me and my partner and was snapping with any questions. If this is the experience every time, then we won’t be coming back. We’re spending money and time on this course and it’s not worth it for the poor quality of customer service. Do better.
