It’s really a 3.5 rating. The greens are good here and nice condition. The rest of the course needs work. It’s hard to tell where fairways and rough are. Be careful with tree roots throughout the course. The layout is ok for the S9 and E9 courses. The best layout is the N9. Best holes are S4, S6, E14, E15. The N2 is super interesting with creek down the whole length of hole. N5 is cute Par 3. N6 and N9 are both short Par 5’s and can have some tricky shots.

Course itself wasn't too horrible. However, the guy running it needs a lesson in customer service. We had bought a 4 buckets of range balls at 7$ a piece and we weren't going to be able to get to the driving range before tee time. Asked immediately after purchase for a refund and he said no and gave an attitude. He followed us around on the course all day just yelling at people. Terrible just terrible. If you have the option to go somewhere else just do it. Not worth the hassle of dealing with people whose JOB it is to have good customer service when all they do is the complete opposite.

The range could use an upgrade, a bucket of balls is 7 dollars for "35-45" balls, all the tee box mats are missing the silicone tees. The best I can say is, it's run down but functional. The club house is more of an abandoned storage unit but the staff is friendly, good food, drink selection, and pro shop. Huge 27 hole course, greens are well kept but the rest of the fairway is just hitting straight dirt. The saving grace of the course is it's open all year incentive, and the no random pairing is greater for high handicappers who don't want to get paired with a +4 on their first round. Overall good course, like the driving range it's run down but it's functional. I reccomend the north course over the south since it gets pretty busy on South.

Big Oaks is a wonderful course for the average golfer that is not picky about everything that is perfect on a country club style course. Jose and his staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's also nice that they are open all year long.
