Brown County Golf Course, just outside Green Bay, is widely regarded as one of the best municipal courses in the Midwest. Designed by Lawrence Packard, it features broad fairways lined with hardwoods and pristine bentgrass greens. The layout rewards aggressive play off the tee but demands thoughtful approaches to elevated and well-guarded greens. Locals rave about its immaculate conditions and great value. Whether you're a weekend warrior or a scratch golfer, Brown County delivers championship-caliber golf without the country club price tag.

I have tried quite a few dishes here, they are all excellent!

Staff works hard to keep this course top notch. Greens look great and roll well, bunkers are beautiful after renovation and everything is well kept. This is truely the gem of public municipal golf courses. If you are in the area and have not tried this course you are missing out.

Wonderful, well-maintained course. Challenging layout while not being punishing on a very well-established course. Rates are very reasonable! Every bunker was also renovated in 2021. If you are looking for a course to play in the Green Bay area, you definitely need to give Brown County a look. If you are looking to make a tee time on a weekend, it is best to plan ahead and call after 6pm a week ahead of time.

Best course in Greenbay idc bout Thornberry/Hilly haven/ledgeview, gimmie an early T-time at brown and the day is absolutely set for success. This staff knows ball and knows how to treat players correctly. Jamming here is the purest experience within 40 miles.

Amazed at what great condition the course was in. Tee box, fairways, and especially the greens. Not a lot of trouble, but enough bunkers to keep you honest. Greens roll true and are the most challenging aspect of the course.m, in my opinion. Bunkers were in great shape too! Can’t believe they only charged me $27 twilight rate. Highly recommend.
