I’m gonna give it a four because of the respect I have for the course. It’s a great course that I’ve golfed for year and the price is very fairly priced. However , this latest round was frankly unacceptable. There was 9 groups on 3 holes. You have to pair duos and solos with each other that have the same tee time.

DO NOT GOLF HERE. I had the worst experience I ever had golfing. The lady at the desk belittled me and would not let me play because my golf clubs weren’t up to her standards. I bought my clubs on marketplace so they weren’t matching. No reason to not let an honest blue collar working man golf in my opinion. I was able to bribe her to let me play by giving a fireball shooter and a half pack of newports to her. Everyone has a price I guess... You think it couldn’t get worse right? Think again. The course ranger came flying up because I shot an extra breakfast ball on the 7th hole and demanded that I drop my club. He then strip searched me and patted me down to check if I had any other extra balls on my body. I’m pretty sure this is illegal? I’m new to golfing can anyone tell me if this is normal? Do course rangers have legal authority like a state trooper?

Nice 27 hole course. Plenty of straight par fours. Tricky play in the rough because the grass surrounds and swallows the ball. Well maintained fairways and greens. Wish there were more water hazard holes. Pro shop staff are very friendly and happy. Deffinatley be back in the future to play again.

My complaint isn’t about the course, the clubhouse, or any other aspect of the experience, but rather about the professionalism and common decency displayed. Customers should not be treated like criminals, especially not in front of their peers. This experience was both embarrassing and disappointing, and as a result, I am leaving a one-star review. I strongly recommend that this staff member be retrained to handle situations with more respect and professionalism. Otherwise, you may have just ruined someone’s nice afternoon with your power trip. I’ve been an on-and-off golfer for years, and after not visiting Winniegamie for over a decade, my partner and I decided to give it another shot. We started our day by hitting the range, with three bottles of premium beer in the cart’s cup holders. Unfortunately, our experience took a downturn when a gentleman in a cart with a red flag approached us in front of several other golfers. He demanded to know whose cart it was, and it became clear that the issue was the beer. I immediately walked over to address the situation. The gentleman began to question me aggressively, asking if I knew the rules and stating that I couldn’t have bottles on the course and that all beer must be purchased from the clubhouse. While I understand that this might be common knowledge, I genuinely wasn’t aware of this rule. I explained that to him, but his tone remained harsh, rough, and condescending. He then asked if there were any more bottles, implying that he would search our golf bags. In an attempt to deescalate the situation, I said no, though in my mind, this felt invasive. He proceeded to pat down both of our golf bags. He confiscated two unopened bottles, leaving us with the one that had already been opened. I was confused because if those were the rules, then why didn’t he take all three bottles?

Great staff. Course was in great shape for all the rain we’ve received. Shout out to Dave, the starter, for making it a great experience!
