Good: The course is fun and was even better before removing all the trees. Starters and pro shop staff are kind. Bad: They decided to make more money by not spacing out tee times enough. This causes the ranger to be constantly on the golfers about playing faster despite playing at an acceptable pace. Ugly: While playing a scramble and checking out my partners position on a hole the wonderful ranger literally grabbed my ball that was center fairway 250yds down. Overall: The rangers are rude, literally steal, and need an attitude adjustment. They will tell you to play faster despite having a group in front of you. Charge more for the golf and space out the tee times.

Course was in fair condition, but just expected more for the price. People, service, and food/drink was good. T boxes were rough along with several greens. I believe in 9 holes I probably picked up at least 120 Ts of the white T box.

Nice, challenging course. Fairways and tee boxes were in great shape, greens were fast. Price was $45 for 18 - tough to beat that. Awesome customer service, everyone was super friendly. Would definitely come back.

I had been looking forward to playing here for years after a family member spoke highly of your course. Not only did they mention great conditions, but amenities provided, and reasonable cost to play. The course was in great shape last weekend, but that is the only good note. It was $15 higher due to a holiday, something that was not clear when booking, and they have also raised their green fees from ~$80 to $120 since new ownership. They are somehow not including a bucket of range balls with the new price (They should be on the range already in the pyramids). New owners also cut down a lot of trees that were seemingly unrelated to how the course played, and as far as we could tell did not improve the anything, and made things look worse. Additionally, we played on the 4th of July and they did not provide flag holders next to the greens, so we were either forced to play with the flag in or risk terrorist accusations. The starter blocked the back tees on hole #1 and started asking us about our handicaps. The cart attendants at the front were blasting music that was directly competing with the music from the clubhouse speakers, making for an incredibly distracting first and tenth tee shot. For how no-nonsense the starter was, he seemed to not notice the blaring distractors. There are literal rocks in the bunkers. No course in this price range should have large rocks in their non-waste, green-side bunkers. Could be a hidden gem, possibly top 25 courses in WI, but most everything listed above will keep this place average. Not encouraging of repeat customers with Pinewood and Trout Lake near by.

Overall good conditions. Overall bad design and setup. The course is in really good shape other than maybe three or four bad greens. Amenities and staff were nice. GPS carts were nice to have. The course setup itself leaves a lot to be desired. Many of the holes force you to hit long iron or a wood off the tee due to the fairway running out or a very narrow landing area. You also get punished for hitting good shots at times. Several times I was in the middle of the fairway but still had to hit over trees to get to the green. The only other option is to pitch it out 50 yards down the fairway for an open shot. There were also some questionable pin placements. Two or three paces from the edge and on a big slope. I'm there to have a good time, not grind through my round. There are other courses I would rather play that are less frustrating, but the staff and amenities were nice at least.
