After paying $70 for green fees I was excited to see what this course had to offer. I understand the location/demand, but after Hole 1 I thought I was hit with a ball and suffered from amnesia as every hole was the same. The back 9 offered a little more variability, and the course was moderately maintained and had gambling machines on the turn, earning an additional star. If you like golf, this is a decent course but pay for Mascoutin / Lawsonia instead.

Beautiful course. However, they let any group size play and do not account scheduling for big parties. Would not recommend golfing here unless you enjoy 6hr rounds and 20 min wait + before each shot. At one point there was 7 groups on one hole. Not right.

Beautiful course if you can look past the terrible pace of play and tee time management. Didn’t get to tee off til 15 minutes after our tee time which should have been our first red flag. Never in my life have I seen a course so backed up even on a Saturday. At one point there was at least 6 groups on 1 hole. Ended up taking us (2 people scrambling) 3+ hours to play only 12 holes because we were so fed up with waiting 20 minutes between every shot.

It is a fair-priced golf course for the quality. I do recommend Tuscumbia, especially if you like narrow fairways. It is heavily wooded due to the age of the course. The photo attached is an example of a wider part of the course. It is very flat compared to average tracks, and the course design is not as dynamic as other courses. That said, you will be challenged as the trees put up a decent defense. They have done a great job with maintenance over the past few years. I commend them on the improvements they have made. One small beef: they need rakes for the sand traps. I do recommend Tuscumbia.

Tuscumbia has undergone a miraculous recovery in this past year. The greens, once brown and barren, other than spotty weeds, are now green and velvetty. I'm posting a photo of 14 green to show the remarkable improvement since last season, when it was barren other than what we all joked was a stalk of corn :) The sprinkler system has also been restored, so fairways are green and lush and the rough has been maintained at a consistently acceptable height. Tusky is a beautiful course now. You need to go back and check it out. You'll be impressed and happy you did. Or not- I'm loving the openness and non-crowded play! Honestly, you need to play on Wisconsin's oldest course again. It should be a landmark.
