Horrible experience, when usually it’s great. I’m a Parks member, and Lincoln is one of my favorite courses to play due to its nature of being a slower golf course and is not overly busy. I’m usually helped by Tim or another gentleman (forgive me for not knowing his name)- they are both very nice employees who always seem eager to provide a great experience. However, today was much different. I walked into the clubhouse to meet Tom; I haven’t met him before. Tom was has just finished with another customer, when I walked up to the counter to let him know I would like to play 9, riding. It’s hard to type into words; however, Tom seemed very overwhelmed and stressed with my request. He said that he would have to get the others out before me, being that I didn’t have a tee time, so I told him this was understandable and 100% fine with me. I asked how many were in front of me- genuinely just curious if I should plan to wait for 10 minutes or 30. Instead of just letting me know how many and moving on in our transaction, he said something along the lines of “…just go ahead and get checked in, it won’t be too long until you’re on”, and completely dismissed my very simple and normal question. I said okay, scanned my card, and Tom asked if my clubs were at the club house or in my vehicle. I told him in my vehicle, and he visibly did not like my answer, along with his tone becoming more charged as the interaction went on. He proceeded to instruct me to pay and said something like, “…when you bring your clubs up, we’ll talk”. At this point, I was becoming irritated because I was being respectful, patient, and understanding of the situation (the situation simply being I didn’t have a tee time for a course that almost always has open slots all day long). I hadn’t said anything up to this point, but I now responded with telling Tom that I was little confused and this conversation felt off in comparison to my normal experience. I’m not sure if he thought I was upset that I had to wait, but he immediately became defensive, he had a very short and charged tone in his voice, and began lecturing me about people being in front of me, me not having a tee time, etc. I told Tom that the way he was speaking to me was unacceptable; I said that I had no problem waiting. I also acknowledged that I could tell he was visibly stressed about whatever was going on. I told Tom that I didn’t care how long I had to wait- that was never an issue, as it’s never been anytime that I’ve played there before. The issue was his attitude and the way a paying customer was spoken to, simply because Tom couldn’t handle feeling a little busy at the counter. If Tom can’t handle counter work, maybe Tim or the other gentlemen should be the employees there. Most unprofessional experience I have ever had at a golf course.

This a great 9 hole course. Greens in great shape and the overall condition was good. The old school look and flavor it has makes its fun to play. All the par 4’s were good holes.

As a beginner, I found this golf course relaxing and not overwhelming. The 9-holes took the 3 of us 2.5 hours to complete. I didn’t find the course too difficult, but then, it was my first time ever out in the field, so I have nothing to compare it to. Definitely a difference experience from the range! On this particularly warm March morning, the field was pretty busy. Our tee time was around 9 in the morning, and there were a few groups ahead of us, and some joined right behind us. As a beginner, I was a little apprehensive about getting in the way for the group behind us, and told them they could go ahead if they’d like, but they were cool and said said they’re taking it easy, no worries. Eventually, about 5 holes in, we did let them pass since it looked like a group was on their tails too. Generally, everyone was nice and though I felt a little rushed (not because of the team behind us, but just me feeling bad about being slow), it was a great game. I can’t wait for the next warm weather day to get back here. Oh, and the guy working the counter was also super nice and gave us no attitude or pomp. I’m sorry that other yelpers had such a bad time here, but my experience with the staff working here has been nothing but good.

Pro shop was adequate, friendly service, but tee times severely backed up and caused delays. The greens were pretty good apart from leaves. Fairways were hard. AVOID THE ROUGH AT ALL COSTS I REPEAT, AVOID THE ROUGH Rough feels like chopping through the darn Amazon Forrest Even with perfect contact, the golf ball will travel 10 feet if you are lucky. Please cut the rough down to at LEAST 6 inches
