Roane County Country Club is a welcoming local club where the course offers a traditional, no-frills round centered on fundamentals and course management. The routing tends to be approachable, but it still asks you to think—picking conservative targets and staying out of trouble is usually the quickest path to a good score. It’s a course that works well for regular play because it’s not overly punishing, yet it still rewards golfers who hit fairways and control distance into greens. The atmosphere is community-driven, with leagues and local events that make it feel like a genuine hub for area golfers. If you’re looking for authentic small-town club golf in WV, Roane County is a strong example.

Unbelievable how nice this golf course is being so far out. Greens are better than what you would find at many high price country clubs. A bit smaller but well manicured. Fairways and rough are well maintained and the course has lots of natural hazards that make it fun. Cart paths are adequate.

Great family operated 9 hole golf course! One of the best if not the best in the state!!! Friendly staff, smooth greens, fairways mowed! Great mix of holes that allowed me to use every club in my bag.

Cool track in the middle of nowhere. The course was in great shape. Fun to play. Very affordable greens fee as well. We will be visiting again next June.
