Really nice course, and not impossibly difficult. There is a good variety of well-maintained holes. The bunkers need work as it doesn't look like they have been maintained in a while (it's fall as I write this, though), but that's my only gripe, which isn't a big one since I avoided them all. :-) Nice clubhouse, I just wish the food area was open, I would have like to try the restaurant. But I get it, it was a Tue in Oct., not a Sat. in June. Fairways were relatively level throughout, which is saying something for southern WV courses, and the greens were in really good shape, albeit slow. One hilarious moment was when three Bassett hounds came over to me and one of them chased my cart, barking at me the whole time, down the fairway! When I stopped to take my shot he lost interest and re-joined the others to casually saunter off! LOL Overall, great course that I'd happily recommend!

I used to play this course once a year for a charity tournament. It's always been near and dear to my heart. I don't get out there as much as I would like to these days (work and I don't live close by), but this is still one of my favorite courses. The views of the surrounding countryside are top-notch! I will say, be very careful driving the golf cart, especially when it's been raining. Terrain and curves can make the cart path tricky to navigate.

Great course. Somewhat short. But nice.

Excellent golf course. If you can hit the ball fairly straight its extremely forgiving. There is some water, woods, high grass but a 20 handicap golfer can do well here. Those that are gifted with a 300yd drive will find quite a few par 4s are drivable. Par 3s are pretty straightforward. Par 5s are reachable in 2 with a long drive and straight fairway shot. The greens are vicious. Break 15 different ways it seems like lol but they are very nice greens. We'll kept. There's houses on it but for the most part they're out of the danger zone. Those with vicious slices or hooks might come in contact but it would have to be bad. This was my first time there. Tee'd off at 730. Very foggy. Couldn't see the pin for the first 4 holes till fog lifted. I'll know next time to get a little later tee time. Will definitely drive the hour 30 to go back. Excellent course.

Went to Sandtrap Cafe. Was very good place to eat. Got the Philly steak and cheese and fresh cut fries.
