Preston Country Club in Kingwood is a traditional small-town club course that feels built for member play and steady improvement. Expect a routing that values placement and smart decisions more than raw length—keeping the ball in play and giving yourself good approach angles is the scoring formula. The course has a classic “home track” feel where subtle contours and local knowledge matter, especially around greens and on tighter driving holes. It’s a comfortable environment for leagues and regular games, with a pace and atmosphere that invite repeat rounds. If you like the idea of a club that’s more about community and consistent golf than flash, Preston is a strong example.

As good as you’ll find outside of the name brands in the entire region. Good test on relatively flat land with interesting holes, features and hazards (mounds, creeks, lake, road, etc.). Prices excellent for what you get. A great surprise and a great value. Make the drive!

Even after all the rain the course (fairways) were still in pretty good condition. Greens were still running pretty smooth too. Just wish I played better!

This is a nice, moderately, easy, golf course as long as you can hit the ball straight. It has been pretty well-maintained despite the long drive spell this summer. I would gladly play there again.
