Description

Bridge Haven Golf Club on the Gorge (near the New River Gorge area) is a scenic 18-hole round that pairs outdoor-adventure country with an inviting golf vibe. The course routing works through rolling hills, with stretches that feel calm and park-like and other holes that demand more precision and nerve. You’ll typically see a blend of scoreable holes and momentum-swingers where a small miss turns into a bigger number, so it rewards staying patient. The setting is a big part of the appeal—great for a golf day that’s part of a broader trip with rafting, hiking, or exploring Fayetteville and the Gorge. If you like courses that feel “fun first” but still provide a real test, Bridge Haven fits that profile well.

I wasnt sure what to expect when I booked this. Was in town for Memorial Weekend with my wife and staying near New River Gorge. So while wife was busy with her activities, I had booked a morning round. Wasnt expecting much as I assumed that since it was in the countryside, it would be so-so. I was PLEASANTLY surprised... PROS - The customer service and friendliness of the staff was very much appreciated. They knew I was from out of town and they were very helpful and even during the turn and at the end, they took the time ot ask how I was doing and how was the course - The course, is in REALLY good shape - The greens and apron around the greens are IMMACULATE. I would stack them up with my greens here in the Dayton/Cincy area with no problems - The holes are fun to play and I played the white tees which are approx 560 yrds. I normally play 6000-6200 yrds but the white tees were more than challenging - I was a single but I was fortunate enough to join the 2some behind me and a big shout out to Luke and Josh. Ty for joining me and making my round very enjoyable. You guys were great to play the round with. - Do NOT play as a single for the first time WITHOUT someone who has played the course before. I SWEAR i would have not known on some of the holes where to hit. absolutely no way.... - The course was super fun to play and If I am in the area again I will come out and play this course - have already told my golf chat group about this course to spread the word CONS - it would be good to put a bell at the bottom of some of the hills and hidden shots like most courses do so that groups can notify the teams at the tee box it is safe to hit and not force groups to go out and check if it is safe to hit and then come back

Checked in for a 6p Tee, just to play 9 (or as many as possible) quick holes for my birthday. First golf outing in a few years, first here since the new ownership. Gentleman running the pro shop that evening almost seemed inconvenienced that I was checking in shortly after 6. My wife came along literally just to drive the cart and spend time together, but she was charged as well. 60$ for 9 holes, so she took a couple hacks for the fun of it since she was charged too. Aside from that, it’s a consistent, local course that gets the job done. Beautiful views, challenging course, and good greens.

I would have likely given this a 4.2 star rating, as it’s a simple, out of the way, low cost course. But, for the cost, it was well worth it. Tee boxes needed to be leveled a bit, and mowed, but it wasn’t bad. The greens were in REALLY nice shape. Fairways were well maintained but the rough was mostly weeds and sparse grass. I guess if you hit straight you’re fine. Gas golf carts, with windshields, but no rain covers for the clubs. If you’re in the area looking for a place to play, it’s worth the stop.

Great local course. Challenging but fun at the same time. Excited to see the changes the new ownership has planned.

We were camping and decided to check out this course. The staff was friendly and gave us great instructions on the course. Very hilly course. Fairways and greens were in great condition. We had a great time and we will return.
