Edgewood Country Club in Charleston is one of the state’s most storied private clubs, pairing a traditional club atmosphere with a serious 18-hole golf test. The course is known for a classic design pedigree and a layout that can challenge good players while still feeling fair and rhythmic for members. You’ll typically find well-defined bunkering, strong green complexes, and a setup that rewards driving it to the correct side of the fairway to open up approaches. The overall property feels “complete”—golf, practice, and a polished clubhouse scene that supports tournaments, dining, and social life. If you’re looking for a high-end country club round with history and a course that holds up over repeat play, Edgewood fits that profile.

Great evening with a group. We are not members, but we had a good dinner. The location is beautiful, and the facility is very classy. The staff were very kind and attentive.

Premier country club in Charleston. Excellent social and sporting opportunities. The food and service is fantastic in the main dining room or the grill for a laid back atmosphere. Nice gym equipment, squash courts, steam room, in addition to outdoor pool, kids pool, and diving well. The golf course is among the best in WV in terms of conditions and playability. Lots of planned parties for adults and kids. Well managed club.

Food was great! Alyssa, Kyra and the other attendants were really nice and helpful. Would love to go back soon, but we're only here for the Stonewall Reunion.
