Was staying in Charles town and wanted to golf. Saw this advertised as one of best in area. I liked the layout of the course. Water made it challenging at times. Unfortunately, like many other courses it is not being maintained efficiently. There was not much difference between the fairways and the rough. Sand traps need work and so do some of the tee boxes and greens. Enjoyed the day at the course and as mentioned layout is nice but it is not worth the price tag right now.

Great layout, unfortunately the course is not kept up well. Bad tee boxes, greens are in rough shape and tee times are overbooked creating pace of play issues. I hit this course once a year hoping some of the issues are being worked on because as I said earlier, I really like the layout of the course, but yet again, it's got all of the old problems. Maybe next year.

I remember playing there when it first opened and even 10 years ago. The course was in great shape and the talk of the area. But now its awful. The greens are tore up. Trash cans where overflowed with cans and even seen toilet paper what appears ro be shit on it. Sad it has gone to this type of quality. The clubhouse is just a local bar. I took my son in there and local people they didn't even played where in there drunk and using extremely foul language. Would highly no recommend. Unless they'd lower the price to about $20 all day price then it matches its appearance

I had a great time at Locust Hill. I would say it was great value for the ~$55 cost for 18 holes. The course was not in spectacular condition, but it did not need to be. The holes are challenging and the grade is hilly at times. The layout was a little tricky to navigate as the course meandered through the subdivision. I did not expect a beverage cart, but was pleasantly surprised when one came around. We played from the White tees which tops out at about 6,400 yards. Many of the holes challenged you to use something other than driver off the tee. If we played from the Black tees at 7k yards, I probably would have opted for driver more often. All in all, I would describe the course as engaging, slightly deceptive and great value for the money.

After two attempts to use the practice range, with HORRIBLE customer service from the grumpy old fart at the front desk, this place will never get my buisness. First time I went, the ball picker and dispenser were apparently broken. Guy at front desk did a dreadful job of explaining that. Second time I went, I called 20 minutes before heading there to check if the ball picker and dispenser were working. (I was told yes by a lady on the phone). Then I get there, talk to the grumpy old man, he tells me the range was closed, and I told him I was just told it was all working. He said “well you didn’t talk to me”…. WOW
