Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport is a private, high-end golf experience built around Pete Dye’s signature style—strategic angles, bold visuals, and holes that force commitment. It’s a course where you’re rarely hitting “just a shot”; you’re choosing lines, shaping trajectories, and deciding how much risk you’re willing to take for the best approach. Expect strong green complexes and hazards that are positioned to influence decisions rather than simply punish after the fact. The overall presentation is typically pristine, and the experience feels tournament-ready even on normal days. If you want a true West Virginia statement course that tests strong players and rewards intelligent, fearless golf, Pete Dye is that level of venue.

This course is awesome, very captivating just looking at all the holes laid out on the property. Doesn't appear to have a flat fairway anywhere, both the fairways and greens have undulations throughout the entire course, you have to make sure to place your ball in the right spots off the tee and hitting into the greens because it can roll off the greens or into trouble spots if you hit into the wrong spots. The course was in great condition, we went in early to mid October and the colors were in full bloom. A very nice, challenging course I'd be happy to loop again.

Great golf course and experience. Unfortunately for us, they had the course set up as difficult as possible due to a WVU qualifier the next day. It sure didn't keep us from going for the tough pin placements! Other than #17 green, I liked the course. Even with the bad rains soaking the course, there wasn't a bad lie to be found.

Had the opportunity to play this spectacular course three times over two days. Course conditions were excellent. Clubhouse staff very polite and appreciative of us being there.
