This golf course offers a fun and rewarding experience for players of all skill levels. It’s well-kept, with lush fairways and strategically placed hazards that add challenge and enjoyment. The scenic views enhance each round, making it even more enjoyable. Although the pace of play was a bit slow, the course itself remains a great choice for a fun and engaging round of golf.

Nice surprise when visiting Tacoma for the 1st time // public transportation stop right across the street from McDuffs Grill ✅ , 1st time in nearly six decades of playing golf. A $1 ORCA senior pass delivered me from N 46th & Pearl. The course is well maintained with so many beautifully landscaped yards from the adjacent homes. Big scale Pines for shade framing nearly every fairway. $24 front nine ( executive style 9 holes ), add $15 and play it again making 18. Tees are different to create slight yardage variations. A pro shop for whatever supplies, golf balls, a glove, tees, a nice shirt, etc. Few people midday as the temps were low 80's . When temps begin to drop into the high seventies the starters sheet fills up quickly ( 3:30pm ish ). Wickedly fast greens can create the " Jeeno Thitikul 4 putt syndrome " , even she Thailands golf prodigy & LPGA World # 1 in 2025 had a 4 putt on her 72nd hole which handed the Kroger Championship to Charley Hull. Four putts at Highlands are frustrating yet we won't have a million dollars on hhe line. McDuffs grill is a welcoming experience as they have a few lunch delights and beverages to satisfy both thirst & hunger. These young ladies add " Spice & conversation " to an already satisfying day on course ! Easy to return as my clubs are at the ready for week 8 of our 9 week duration here in Tacoma !

This is the perfect walkable course! We plan on getting a punch card because it's such a great deal!

I am not good at golf. This course though is great. Still not good at this one either but I will be back. Very fun.

Highlands is a breath of fresh air a beautiful par 3 course tucked away in the north end of Tacoma, recently renovated and done beautifully. The grounds are kept nice and the clubhouse is very accommodating and comfortable. Staff is always amazing. Prices are more than reasonable.
