Cavalier Yacht & Country Club is a Virginia Beach institution, blending private-club golf with a coastal, yacht-club social identity that’s central to the experience. The golf course typically reflects Tidewater conditions—flatter terrain, mature trees, and wind that can quietly influence club choice even on holes that look sheltered. The test often comes from precision and positioning more than sheer length, especially if the course is firm and the greens are quick. Off the course, the club’s identity is as much about lifestyle as golf—dining, waterfront culture, and member events shape the day. If you’re looking for classic private golf with a strong social scene in the Virginia Beach area, Cavalier is one of the marquee names.

I enjoyed a lovely tea here at the Virginia Tea Society's Christmas Tea. The staff was friendly, and the room was nice. Everyone had a great time.

Can’t say how much I love this place. The atmosphere and the people make IT what it is. Sherri is making the place bright with her smile and friendly attitude. The smash burgers were amazing and I can’t wait to come back. Love IT

Sunday pm at the bar to enjoy the NFL games and a few beers for us and Lemon Drop Martinis for the wives! Both Nathan, the bar tender and Kyle, the Supervisor, BOTH very professional & hospitable! We enjoyed our visit here very much with our members - daughter & son-in-law. We will be back. THANKS 🙏.
