Broad Bay (Virginia Beach) is a private club experience with a classic Tidewater feel—flat coastal terrain, mature tree lines, and a layout that tends to reward accuracy and patience. Wind can influence club selection in this region, even on holes that look sheltered at first glance, so trajectory control becomes an advantage. The course is generally designed for repeat play, with strategic angles and green complexes that reveal more nuance as you learn where to miss. It’s often a course where your score is built on avoiding big mistakes rather than forcing birdies—keep it in front of you, hit greens, make putts. If you like traditional private-club golf with a steady, understated test, Broad Bay fits that mold.

I played here as a guest recently and it is a beautiful course set up, pro shop was very accommodating and restaurant staff was friendly. Course conditions could have been better 4/5 but still a great place to play a round of golf. Course is very short, but still challenging.

Attended a wedding here. It was beautiful, the food was very good, and the grounds are very well maintained and pretty. Our server, while obviously busy, was extremely attentive. He got us everything we needed. All in all, it was a beautiful evening and event.

Communication is poor. Venue stole $2000 from me and won’t allow me to use it for another event even though I was told by the manager Robyn that I could. I can’t get anyone to return my calls or honor my credits. All around poor service and clearly like to steal from people!!! What a shame.
