Botetourt Golf & Swim Club is a classic community-oriented club in the Roanoke/Troutville area, built around repeatable, member-friendly golf. The course typically plays as a traditional parkland layout—tree-lined holes, straightforward visuals, and a premium on keeping the ball in play. It’s not about gimmicks; it’s about steady golf, good pace, and a layout that rewards smart course management. The swim-and-social component is a big part of the club identity, so it often feels like a neighborhood hub as much as a golf venue. For golfers, it’s the type of place where your score is determined by wedges and putting because you’ll have plenty of chances if you drive it in the right spots.

I had a great time playing a course I hadn't played in 20+ years. Cart paths could use some work. The fairways needed some water. The mountains are beautiful. Staff very nice. Ice cold water in club house was a nice feature.

First time playing this year. Very windy today but good time was had by all. Really good hamburgers and fries fresh and hot off the grill. Course was in good shape.

Went there to the pool today for the 4th. Went last week as well . The staff has shown nothing but courtesy and hospitality. It's a ton of fun for the kids and relaxing for us parents. Plenty of parking on both sides of the pool . Decently priced and moderate options from the snack bar. They had the boom box going and even a fun little competition.

Great course, even for mid-October. Grounds keepers were still taking care of the greens and keeping up maintenance on the course. Amazing views at just about every hole. Will definitely be back!
