Really nice course but pace of play needs to be enforced. Absolutely no reason that it should take almost 5 hours to play a round especially in the winter when not as many players. This is the 3rd time I’ve played in the last 4 months where I have either BARELY been able to finish or was not able to finish. Started at 12 today did not finish until after 5. Ruins the round!!!!

Played in a tournament on 10/9/2025. Wonderful course in good shape. Staff very nice and professional. The two star rating is only due the the extremely annoying feature installed on the golf carts. They shut down when you enter a restricted area and you have to put the cart in reverse in order to get out. The restricted areas are not marked so you don't know where they are at until you are in one. I was locked out once and I was on the cart path. Why not just rope off the restricted areas so carts can't enter? I can't see myself paying to play this course again. Doubtful I will return.

Extremely disappointed. I’m not a member, but I have played here for 15+ years and have many friends who are long-time members. I have always loved the course and staff, but the new management team that took over a few months ago seems completely inexperienced. I really tried to avoid writing a negative review, but the quality here has been going down continuously and I just couldn't hold myself back anymore. The fairways and greens have degraded a ton. This course used to have the best maintenance team in Virginia, but now it has turned into a below-average neighborhood course. It’s incredibly frustrating that the new management raised prices while drastically lowering the standard of care. I hope they turn it around soon, but I won't be holding my breath.

Had a scheduled tee time, drove 30 minutes and paid a toll, just to be told that the course was closed due to weather. When I asked why I wasn’t sent an email, I was told I should have called or checked their Facebook page…..horrible first impression, wasted my time and money. I can get a confirmation email for my tee time but not a courtesy email to inform me that they closed the course down..? To address the response from the course, there were at least 2 golf courses open today because I was able to find one to play at. And successfully played 9 holes, would have loved to play 18 but had a delayed start due to driving all the way to Suffolk for no reason. Also for future reference, it’s respectful to let the people on the tee sheet know that the course is closed.

The course is in great shape, staff is friendly. The bad is that the clubhouse is outdated and needs a deep cleaning. I was told by my husband that the men’s bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for days, and there is a stench when you walk by the men’s room.
