Good course can see where they installed new sod around different holes . The day I played the tee boxes looked beaten up, they have lots of divots and mud as though haven’t moved markers around in a bit but was able to go back couple of paces to tee off. Greens good condition fairways overall good. Not from Richmond area but $60 to ride 18 for Par 66 seems a bit much but walked for $39. Played on a weekend they have putting green and chipping area near first tee so you can practice before you tee off. Would play again if back in the area.

To say this course is a scam would be an understatement. This course is a “Youth Development” course and it plays only about 4600yds from the tips. $51 dollars for a tee time here is INSANE considering the deplorable conditions of this golf course. I am shocked I’ve played way better actual courses for $15 cheaper than this. Some areas of this course look it’s just been nuked and left alone. I’m not sure if they are attempting to renovate but it looks pretty horrible and it’s honestly one of the worst courses I’ve ever played in central VA as far as conditions go. There are so many bare areas including tee boxes and cart paths are pretty broken down as well. Considering the $51 tee time, no course amenities (no cart girl, no grill or “turn” snack bar etc..) and the laughable conditions, I won’t be returning here anytime soon. I hope they can get it together soon before all hope is lost. I’d be really impressed if they can somehow turn it around. I’m giving it two stars because the only good thing was staff friendliness.

I like this course, the long narrow fairways reward clean shots and the dense wooded areas with deep leaf debris guarantee you will lose your ball if you shoot into them. 18 holes here is a nice hike on foot, takes about 4 hours to play. Nothing too exciting to look at and the grounds are pretty brown and not in the best shape but the greens are good which is what matters to me. For the price it's a great round of golf. Pace of play and etiquette can be an issue here but you learn to deal with it, I have had people start early and play into me, and have had to sit on a tee and wait for 10 min while a group of 5 was put ahead of me with basically no spacing in the tee time.

I play golf at Tattersall First Tee GC maybe 2-3 times a week. I love the course because it's not so long that I can't walk it. I appreciate the great improvements that were recently made... improvements like installing new drainage lines, filling the bunkers with new sand, placing sod around the bunkers for smoother play. These improvements are great! The staff under Josh's leadership is great, very pleasant attitudes. All my experiences with the staff have been great with the exception of one encounter. It was a misunderstanding as for information concerning play with a Senior Leagues for the first time. I called previously to sign up to play in the senior league, which the first two times I called the young ladies were very nice and took my information and said I would be receiving an email from Josh, informing me the group I would be playing with. After a few days and not receiving an email I called to follow up and a gentleman named Tyler answered and things went downhill quickly...I explained I was looking for information on how to sign up to play in the Senior League on Monday and that I called a few days before and was told I would receive an email, which I hadn't as of yet. Tyler said he didn't have any information on it. I asked, how could I get the information since I haven't received the email? Tyler said, "I DON'T KNOW!" He said I needed to contact the person in charge of the league. I infomed Tyler I had no idea who that was. I then asked Tyler how could he work there and not have any information on league play at his course...his response was I DON'T GET PAID TO KNOW!" He was firm on not knowing and didn't seem interested in trying to help. I asked Tyler could I speak to Josh, he said he was out on the course and I could call him. (after playing there for sometime I know how busy Josh can be and the challenges of getting in contact with him on the phone) so, I told Tyler I wasn't too far away and I would be there in a few to speak with Josh. After speaking with Josh, we discovered he was sending the email to my sons email address (which we have the same name Sr/Jr, it was an "honest mistake") I said to Josh , Tyler could have simply responded with "I'll check on it and you can call back in a few mins." Though I was frustrated with the back and forth with Tyler (I had no hard feelings against Tyler)...afterwards I said to Josh I wanted to speak with Tyler to let him know I have no hard feelings and to make sure things are ok. Tyler was standing outside in front of the building, so I went out to speak with him. I said Tyler everything is ok now no hard feelings and I put my hand out to shake his hand and he looked at me and turned away, "I WAS SHOCKED!" I said you're not going to shake my hand he said No and I'm glad your problem was solved! I was mainly shocked because, the genesis of the problem occured because he was not well informed and he follow with being rude and very unprofessional. Josh was standing by and saw everything....I saw Josh walking away and I asked if he saw what happened and said he did and that he will "talk to him." .... I was waiting to receive a phone call of apology from Josh or Tyler and it didn't happen. I know in public service some customers can be a challenge and good, strong, sensable, mature help is very much needed and is hard to find but proper training will help a staff to understand every call isn't a threat. I still gave a 5 star because one spoiled apple can lead to better training and stronger apple tree(s) in the future.

$60 a person is absolutely ridiculous. It shouldn't be that high and won't be coming back until the price goes down! The greens were ok but the pavement was very rough and bumpy. When you teed off, if wasn't normal grass from so many hitting it, and for the price, it wasn't worth it. Maybe $30 throughout the week and $40 for the weekend. Other then that, me and my family won't be going back until the price drops a lot more
