Love this course design, my favorite public in the area. Hole 13 is my favorite and great practice facility.

Love love love this track! It’s beautiful and plays like a video game! The staff and range + practice area are also wonderful. Especially for chipping. A bit pricey during peak times, but if you can go during the weekday it’s reasonable. Update 2026: def my fav public course in the area

Really enjoyed the layout of the course. It places a premium on your second shot. We teed it up at the whites and it didn't take anything away from the hole (which isn't the case at a lot of courses). Greens were in great shape considering we played in mid November. Tee boxes could have been in better shape.

I probably made this round way more stressful than it needed to be. Booked the front 9 at 1:39 with a 5:45 flight out of Dulles… which, yeah, not my smartest scheduling decision. The whole drive over I’m doing mental math like I’m cracking a code. “Okay if I play fast, no lost balls, no waiting…” meanwhile it’s golf, so obviously none of that actually happens. But I’ll say this—the staff there saved me. Once they heard about my flight, they just… fixed it. Moved us up, swapped us with another group, got us out at like 1:20. No attitude, no hassle. Just “we got you.” That alone put me in a good mood before I even hit a shot. And then the course… yeah, this place is legit. Like elite elite. Wide fairways that actually let you swing without feeling punished for existing, but still interesting enough to keep you honest. It’s fun in that dangerous way where you start thinking you’re playing better than you actually are. Greens rolled super clean too. Not gimmicky, not weird… just smooth and fair. Which was nice because the bunkers? completely different story. Those things look like little fortresses. You miss in there and suddenly it’s a whole situation. I got lucky a couple times, but yeah… they’re intimidating. Somehow, in the middle of all this, I got my first ever par 5 birdie. Still not entirely sure how. One of those holes where everything just… hit! 1st shot with driver hit at 250 yards, second shot with 5 wood another 200 yards and then a perfect chip and a perfect putt! Honestly might’ve been the highlight of the whole trip. The only thing I’m actually mad about is that I didn’t book this a day earlier and play all 18. I was rushing through what should’ve been a full experience, and even then it still ended up being one of my favorite courses I’ve played. Which is kind of ridiculous considering I only saw half of it. I’d play this course again and again without thinking twice. No question. Next time though… I’m giving myself the full round. Oh and by the way, it all worked out perfectly. Finished the 9 by 3:20, was at the airport by 4:00 like nothing ever happened. Whole thing felt way too smooth considering how poorly I planned it.

Great layout, but the course is not well taken care of. Tee boxes are often dried out or missing grass. Greens were infected last summer too. No reason for this course to be the most expensive public track in the area. Go play Stonewall or Potomac Shores. Raspberry is not worth the 150+ greens fees.
