Washington Golf & Country Club in Arlington is one of Virginia’s most historic private clubs, known for deep tradition, a strong competitive culture, and a classic parkland course that rewards precision. The layout typically emphasizes positional tee shots and smart approaches into greens where the correct side matters as much as distance. It’s a course that can feel fair but relentlessly demanding if you’re not driving it accurately, because recoveries are often difficult in mature tree corridors. The overall club experience is refined and legacy-rich, with a membership culture that supports serious golf alongside social life. Overall, WGCC is a benchmark NoVA private-club round—classic, strategic, and built for players who value tradition and a true test.

This review is specifically for engaged couples considering having a wedding a WGCC. Our wedding photography team (LVERphoto.com) absolutely LOVES photographing weddings at this beautiful venue! WGCC is close enough to DC and many surrounding areas that you can have your choice of ceremony and portrait locations - on or off site. The back patio/deck and golf course are very picturesque, and the staff is incredibly helpful and kind. The ballroom is more traditional, but definitely not stuffy or dark. It is light, bright and very elegant! Food and presentation is top notch. We highly recommend this location for your wedding ceremony and reception!

Always thankful for the opportunities to enjoy the dinners hosted by the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Association. The Staff of the club is always very professional and prompt. The food is always great.
