My family and I had a wonderful time visiting for 4 days! We upgraded our room to the deluxe in the Lodge to insure our room had a mini fridge and a bath tub for our kiddo, and a separate bedroom with a pull out couch. We had plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed the staff throughout the grounds, everyone was sweet and funny. There is a coffee shop in the lodge with great drinks and snacks and snack store near the pickle ball courts and a food truck by the boats/beach. Id recommend eating lunch at the beach and eating dinner in town at Fire and Ice for the best experience! Ardelia s offers a 75$ breakfast buffet by reservation in the lodge, the typical hotel breakfast youd expect anywhere but with additional service. The coffee shop sells baked goods and yogurt if you eat light. Bait sells out quick and arrives later in the day so id prep the day before if you want some early morning fishing! Complimentary coffee on the lodges back porch until 12:00. Be sure to grab a map at the front desk to explore the trails! While i wouldn’t say the trail is stroller friendly it is still possible we used our jeep stroller comfortably. We had so much to do we never had time to visit the pool but it looked clean and was next to couple yard games we took advantage of. There is also a dog beach tucked off the the side behind the lodge but dont be surprised if a couple pups join by the boat area, this is a very dog friendly resort which we loved since we had quiet a few in our group as well! Pro tip : bring water shoes, we injured our feet on the first day on zebra clams in the diving area.

Stayed here for two weeknights mid-ish August 2026. Service was really great. Very professional and courteous. The rooms were nice enough. Ours was pretty spacious with a balcony with not much of a view (guess that is what you get for only $400/night). Pretty pricey during summer time. That said, the setting and grounds are spectacular. As they stress, a very traditional NE summer resort. We did not eat there at all and didn't partake of much of the entertainment they had to offer, but my daughters loved the ambiance, the historical buildings, the sunsets, and scenery. While we didn't partake of much of the entertainment, we could see it all around us. Only regret is not spending enough time here (we treated it more like a hotel than a resort).

We were so excited to find a place that offers pet friendly accommodation. However, upon realizing the room we booked is not actually pet friendly, we called to ask that the reservation be cancelled (same day). The reservation representative was pleasant until I said we would not be able to re-schedule our booking and do not have flexible dates at this time. She SEEMINGLY hung up mid sentence and did not bother to call me back to apologize or confirm they cancelled the reservation and only after I called again, had to leave a VM and sent an email to request confirmation that our reservation was cancelled did she email reply and call me back with the below message. In my email, I explained what it appeared to be on the receiving end of our conversation, understood that it may be a phone connection issue and that we would be interested in booking at a future time. However if this is how their reservation team treats potential customers, I must say it was extremely off putting.

Pure fun! You can never get bored here because all of the fun options basin harbor has to give such as boat rentals, golf , bike rides, etc. and all of the delicious restaurants they have! It is such a good option for all families! And all of the rooms/cabins are clean and nice. Me and my family have been going here for over 10 years and enjoy it more and more every time! I would recommend basin harbor to anybody looking for a good family friendly fun and nice vacation!

My extended family and I had a wonderful time at Basin Harbor this past weekend. 50 of us convened to celebrate my grandmother, Marcia, who would have been 90 years old this weekend. Everything about the resort was spectacular. Every staff member I met was helpful, friendly and went out of the way to make our stay memorable (even lending me a pair of fishing pliers when I needed them fishing off of the dock). The grounds were beautifully maintained and kept. We gathered around the campfire on Sunshine lawn and shared stories about my grandmother both evenings. I only wish our stay was longer. Thank you for creating such a memorable and special occasion for our family. We deeply appreciate it.
