We stayed here for a wedding in May of 2026. The hotel and grounds are really beautiful; older, but with the historical charm. Our room was huge and the bed comfortable. The vanity/sink area could have used a few more shelves or hooks, but other than that, the room was really nice. We were there for a wedding and did not get the opportunity to use any of the amenities, so the resort fee was a real slap in the face. I will never understand why the resort fee isn't just rolled into the price of the room if it's a mandatory charge. It hurts less that way. My real problem with The Equinox was the cost of a round of drinks that we purchased at the pre-wedding day meet and greet. Two mixed drinks (one vodka, one gin, both with club soda) and two double whiskeys with lower shelf brand liquor, came to $96. I am used to paying outrageous Boston prices, but this made Boston look good. Additionally, those double pours were so cheap. My husband complained about the pour and the bartender sarcastically tipped the bottle towards the glass and let an additional couple of drops out of the bottle while staring down my husband. He was extremely rude, but unfortunately, we had already thrown $5 in the tip jar. The resort should know that if those drinks had been reasonably priced, we would have drank way more than $96 worth of alcohol that night as we only had to walk back to our room. And if we ever stay at this Resort again, we will be bringing our own alcohol. The wedding was lovely and had open bar, but we still steered clear of that rude, condescending, bartender.

I was there years ago and loved it. Sadly this is no longer the case, it's sad to see such an iconic hotel so run down. We had booked it for my son's wedding. Our suite had no heat, a towel holder in the bathroom that fell off into my girlfriend's tow and a telephone that did not work. When we tried to call the front desk, no one answers, nor can you leave a message. The staff while very friendly are not well trained in hospitality. When we checked in there was no bellman to bring in our luggage so we brought them all into the lobby ourselves. When we finally asked for help the bellman agreed. They have great bistro lights over a grassy area. Sadly half of the string was burned out and not working. Given it was Memorial Day weekend we were surprised to see that they did not bring out cushions for the outdoor chairs. When we asked, they did but they were not proactive. It was apparent that they have not done the capital improvements needed to keep the buildings in proper condition. Add to this for our rehearsal dinner one of the choices, cod was so overcooked and cold that it was not edible. The value proposition is not hear, premium prices without the services and run down amenities. We aware that the hotel is under new ownership but so far its not noticeable.

The most beautiful hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Location is quaint and gorgeous. No wonder Lincoln’s loved it there. Rooms so clean, bed was soooo nice, big tv. Felt very modern historical. Luxury meets history. So many rooms and hidden places to explore. We found Lincoln’s suite and we tried to contact the spirits lol. The grounds were kept nice, so many fire pits. The pool is huge, and hot tub kept you intrigued with the views of the mountain. There’s walking paths that lead into the pond. What a great experience. Only wish the rooms had refrigerators.

I stayed here in June 2022 at the Main Inn in a Resort King room. The hotel room is dated but that's part of the experience. The food for our conference was excellent. I read later after my stay that the place is known for objects moving on their own. I had an experience on the second night of the stay. My computer bag fell off the antique chair and onto the floor in the very early hours of the morning. I yelled out "That was rude!" and went back to sleep. Otherwise it's a great location. There is are trails to falls and there is a decent golf course across from the hotel.

Unfortunately this hotel had few redeeming qualities. The room had no mini fridge, no room service, horrendous internet and the food at the location was generally pretty terrible. The best part was the stellar massage I got from Alex at their spa - probably the best massage I’ve had in 10 years. The location is quaint and very beautiful. But the hotel itself could do with a revamp, serious investment in proper internet which seems like a basic requirement for a hotel in this modern age, and service improvements.
