Mountain Dell is a really fun course with absolutely sensational views—it’s one of the most scenic and conveniently located options near Salt Lake City. The layout offers variety and challenge, and the proximity to SLC makes it an easy choice when you want to sneak in a round. That said, this entire year the course has been plagued by painfully slow play. Rounds regularly stretch into 4.5–5.5 hours due to extreme bottlenecks, which takes a lot of the enjoyment out of the experience. Unfortunately, there’s no real pace-of-play monitoring: no rangers on the course and no enforcement, which makes the issue even more frustrating. If Mountain Dell can get pace of play under control, it would truly be a top-tier course for both locals and visitors. Until then, expect amazing scenery but bring your patience.

Golfed 18 on the Mountain Course today, and it was an awesome experience. The layout is both fun and challenging, with a great mix of holes that really test your game. The course itself is in excellent condition—the fairways were well maintained and the greens rolled smooth and true. The only downside was the pace of play, which was pretty rough when we went out. Hard to say if it was because tee times were booked too close together or just slower groups ahead, but it definitely made the round drag a bit. That being said, the quality of the course more than made up for it, and it was still a really enjoyable day. Overall, it’s a course I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for both a challenge and some beautiful scenery. I’ll definitely be back to play again.

This course is awesome for views and we'll maintained. It is not for the novice golfer, however. Hood golfers will be challenged from Black and Blue tees. There are 3 sets of forward tees to provide some relief from long tee to fairway carries. Two courses here; played Lakes today. Excellent proshop staff.

Great courses! There are 2 full 18 hole courses here. The Lake course and the Canyon course. Both are well kept and fun to play.

Can't beat the sunsets at Mountain Dell or the wildlife. We've encountered moose and mountain lion. Amazing place. We're lucky to have this as a public course.
