Formidable course. Books quickly, 7 days out. Great putting greens. Iron only driving range. Blind shot on 5 to an ungulating green. Careful or you roll in the gunch. 8 and 10 have double greens. Beautiful vista of the Salt Lake Valley. Carts have yardage markers. You may hear the lions roar on 11 as you are on the other side of the street of the zoo. Use the restroom at the end of 10 because you won't have another chance until you tee off of 18. Would have given a 4.5 if available, pace of play is usually slow.

Bonneville's East Bench spot is unbeatable for city golf—mountain views from every hole make the drive up worth it. Fairways are wide and forgiving, greens roll true without too much speed. It's walkable if you're up for it, and the elevation adds a little challenge. Pro shop has basics like gloves, staff's quick and friendly. Grill does simple sandwiches that hit after nine. $40-50 rates keep it affordable for munis. Pace is steady, even busier days. Played with my dad and we both enjoyed the no-pressure vibe—great for all levels. My SLC staple.

This was probably one of the most challenging courses I've played this year. Most of the layouts are nice, but those greens are no joke. Most of them are tiered with crazy breaks and slopes. Had a few come back right to where I started from. Some good wide open and interesting holes. It kicked my butt but I'm looking towards the next time I play. There were 2 par 3s that were an awesome layout. 18 was a great hole to finish on.

We were treated so poorly by the Marshal staff and felt uncomfortable as women on the golf course. It was $70 a person for 18 and we were so excited to spend a girls day together. Each of us have been golfing for 3-4 years so it's not like we were beginners but we were an instant target for hate. I understand the flow of each group in golf and if someone needs to pick up the pace, there's a nice way to say that but the Marshal's yelled at us when it wasn't warranted. (Old Male and female Marshal) When we would Tee off, the group in front of us were putting. We were on track. Maybe they should space out their tee time instead of being a money grabber. We won't be returning and will be telling all our golf friends about our experience here. It's such a beautiful course but the employees are awful. (Other than the cart guy, he saw our experience with the marshal and was so kind to us) We are nice people and are nice to everyone but won't take mistreatment. It felt targeted towards women, which is unfortunate. I’ve never had an issue on the golf course like this.

Visited Bonneville Golf Course on 5/25/26, and unfortunately the experience started off on a really negative note. The employee checking us in was obviously stressed and came across as rude during the process. I was there trying to spend quality time with my nephew, and the tone at check-in honestly almost ruined the outing before we even started. We were forced to pair up with another couple, which was disappointing enough, but before we even teed off, another group asked to go ahead of us and we politely agreed. Then a cart employee commented that they were “known for being extremely slow,” which felt unnecessary and unprofessional. What made things more frustrating was that even after being paired up, we kept getting notifications on the cart screen saying we were behind pace and should expect to skip a hole. The problem was that there was literally nobody behind us waiting. It completely changed the vibe from a relaxing family outing into feeling rushed and pressured the entire round for no apparent reason. To be fair, the course itself was in great shape, and the beverage cart guy was 10/10 friendly and awesome. That’s the reason this isn’t a one-star review. But the check-in experience and constant pace-of-play harassment really took away from what should have been an enjoyable day with family.
