I enjoy going up here to practice putting. The holes aren’t that long but they are challenging. It’s beautiful up there

I might be partial because I just shot the best round of my life... A 99 with 2 dropped balls. But I loved this course. Yes it is only 9 holes, I played 2 laps... My friend wasn't joking about the morning wind... It's brutal for a 7am tee time ... The first hole is challenging with a tree right in the middle of the fairway and a 40mph head wind... Then from there the flag is hidden. Hole 2 you come back to the flag up above you for another blind chip. 3. Visually beautiful hole. With the wind keeping you back if you get it too high it has a 90° dog leg right. Where you come out of the trees and the wind will pull the ball to the right. Aim left of the pin. 4. Now facing north 4 was an awesome par 3. wide open but the rough was fairly deep if you couldn't land it on the green. Aim right. 5. This was my worst hole. Got too much under it and the wind took it hard right and my normal 225 became 180. If you can get it 250+ it should put you in a perfect 60yrd area right of the green. This was my first drop... And my second... A beautiful hole but it was unforgiving for me. 6. another little 180 par 3. A lot of the greens bowl so if you don't land it in the center you're rolling off. Trees straight along the left side. 7. Awesome if you can cut the little marsh pond and lay up for a 70yrd chip, but play it safe and get yourself a 100-120yrds out. Another domed green where I rolled right off the back. The wind pushes you back right a bit. 8. The tail wind helped me get my longest shot ever with my 3 hybrid... My 220 became 280... I felt like a Greek demigod! Now if only I could hit my driver... 9. A great hole to finish on. Nice dip down into a wide fairway that tightens up and you have to drop it right on the green. The back slopes upp and makes chipping back tough. Watched 3 guys roll it right off the front. Just as epic the 2nd lap around. I'm definitely going to play this course again.

Staff was very nice & the course was fun. There were only 9 holes so to play 18 you just do a re-round. Lot's of rough to donate golf balls to.

Grew up in Davis county and never got out to this course. It's really beautiful! We did go in the morning and got those canyon winds but it actually made it pretty exciting! I wish there was 18 holes here but the 9 that are here are pretty fun! One thing I would do is make sure the people are off the first green, like go up and walk/drive over to where you can see if because we saw some people on a tee box, assuming it was the people in front of us but it wasn't so we hit but hit into the kids in front of us. Learned my lesson on that hole! Also if you go before 9 because of the crazy winds it's only $20 for 9 plus a cart. And I would recommend a cart for those less fit because some of the holes are pretty hilly!

Played this course on Sunday afternoon, 19 September, 2021. Beautiful 9-hole course at the mouth of Ogden Canyon; I was informed that winds in morning can be quite blustery, thus I chose to play on a too-busy Sunday when I had a golfer behind me that persistently intruded onto my tee box before I teed off, as I had to wait for a foursome in front of me to clear. I'll have to return and play when it's quieter and thus more enjoyable. I was impressed by the stunning view from the unique, historic stone clubhouse, high above the 1st and 9th holes! Course was overall well-maintained and not too challenging; the par 4 5th is really the only narrow fairway. High scenic value!
