Homestead is the chill Heber course—wide fairways, big greens, and mountain views everywhere you look. The crater creates this cool backdrop on a few holes. Greens are smooth and medium speed—great for working on putting. Staff is incredibly nice and the pace is perfect. The resort pool and hot springs are right there for after your round. Feels like a vacation even if you live 30 minutes away. A solid relaxed mountain course.

Homestead Golf Course has always been a favorite of mine, but I was particularly impressed with the recent changes during my last visit. The new owners have clearly invested a lot of time and effort into revitalizing the course, and it shows. This time around, I only had time to play the front nine, but even in that short span, the improvements were evident. The fairways were in excellent shape, with lush grass that made for a smooth and enjoyable round. The greens were just as impressive, rolling true and fast, reflecting the care and attention the new management has been putting into the course’s upkeep. One of the highlights of this visit was the pace of play. Sometimes, you can find yourself stuck behind slower groups, but that wasn’t the case here. The flow of the game was perfect, allowing me to really savor each hole without feeling rushed or held up. Overall, it’s exciting to see the direction the Homestead Golf Course is heading under its new ownership. The front nine left me eager to return and play the full 18, knowing that the course is in such great hands. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Has potential, but poorly maintained and nobody there cares about anything. I also left a club there when I last went. I called in afterward to ask the pro shop if they had it. I was put on hold for a minute while they confirmed whether it was there. They came back on and told me they had it and to come get it whenever. Going back to get it a couple of days later, it was not there, and the employee was working her hardest to convince me that they had never had it at all - the original employee "must have just misspoken".

No idea why this has just a 3.3 rating on Google. This was one of the most beautiful courses I’ve played at—nestled perfectly right up against the mountains. Twilight tee times are the perfect time to play here thanks to the cool mountain air.

Course is coming back around. Improvements are noticeable all around. We played 5/16 and it is definitely improving. Staff was nice as usual and we had a great round. My only complaint is the snack shack was closed around 3. I wanted to buy beer and a burger at the turn, it was closed.
