This was my favorite course that we played on a recent trip to the St George area (Wolf Creek, Sand Hollow, The Ledges, Sky Mountain) the first week in June. Copper Rock had the best conditions of all of the courses in the area with plenty of great views. This course has a handful of pretty good elevation change holes but overall is relatively flat compared to the others listed above. Be aware if you are looking for "country club" like amenities in the pro shop and restaurant you will be disappointed. It's somewhat of an odd layout (for the time being) having to drive several minutes to the driving range and first tee but all of that is well explained by the course staff. The only real oddity we encountered at this course was the greens. Nobody in our group of 8 made a putt on this course. I don't know if it's the density of the greens or the type of grass (were accustomed to playing on bermuda greens) but I don't think there was a putt made that was over 6-8 feet. Maybe it was just us but we found that odd. Don't get me wrong, the greens were in fantastic shape we just couldn't figure them out. Copper Rock also has the best bunkers of any course we played with real, fluffy sand. It was the highest price tag of any course we played but was justified with the conditions. Well worth a visit.

Epic golf course with endless gorgeous views on both sides. The course was in excellent shape, had a fun mix of tees playing at lengths for all golfers, and the layout was super fun. Fantastic golf course!

I’m conflicted. A 1 star is harsh but valid for a couple minor things. Reality is enjoy playing this course, have played it 3 times and can’t wait to play it again. The gripes tho. 1. They don’t answer the phones. No option to leave voicemail. It rings 4-5 times then just disconnects. Both the clubhouse and cafe had the same result. Me and others tried calling 10 times over the course of a couple Hours. It was later in the day. But between 4:30-5:30. I needed to talk to someone in the clubhouse in regards to my 7 am tee time. I would expect at 4:30 someone should still be available. They are at other courses 2. The price. $250. I’ll pay that if the course is pristine. But while the course wasn’t awful. This trip out it was not pristine. The greens had mow lines in them, like the mower blades were uneven. The greens were twice as slow as my local county course, and a little bumpy. Which is frustrating. For $250 you want pure greens. For $250 a person, I expect better. 3. I don’t like when someone automatically cleans your clubs after the round. Just a personal preference. I want to pack up and get my own stuff cleaned up and not feel like I’m in a forced conversation or being rushed out. Again. Just a personal opinion. The pros. 1. It is a fun course to play. I’m a 5 handicap. I love the track. Elevation changes. Great views. Challenging holes and score-able holes. Contours on the green allow you to be creative. 2. Playing in the middle of a desert is always cool. 3. The starter and cart delivery Gentlemens were friendly. 4. Free balls and great warm Up area. Get there early. Drive out and spend time chipping, putting and hitting balls. (Just make sure they have enough carts. Because it’s a 4 minute cart drive to the practice area and #1 tee, if it’s peak hours they may not have a cart for you available if you’re too early. 5. Overall I’ve played it 3 times and have great memories of it. I even left my house at 2:30 am, drive 4 hours for a 7 am tee time. Then headed back 4 hours home after the round. #worthit

Links style golf course. Fun and challenging layout. Clubhouse and cart pathway will be changed as it was trek to the driving range and 1st hole. The course was in immaculate conditions and greens rolled true and fast. Blind shots and a couple of water hazards. Bruce the starter was very helpful and to Chad - thank you for greeting us and for his young team member cleaning our clubs after the round. Top notch golf experience - a must play! Fastest golf carts! But don’t race ;)

I can't say enough good things about this course. I decided to play a round of golf as a last minute decision and showed up empty handed as a solo. They were able to get me in with a group, had excellent equipment for rent and grass that is emerald green. The conditions of the course are were incredible, the location and the natural beauty around the course is breathtaking. To top it off, it was the best round of golf I have ever played and the only time I have ever hit an eagle on a par 4. I hope to play this amazing course again.
