Carbon Country Club is a public Golf Course that is one of the most enjoyable courses to play in the state of Utah. They have the friendliest and most accommodating clubhouse staff and the course is just fun to play with an outstanding variety of hole designs. Course Condition ️️️️️ You can tell a lot about a golf course base on how they take care of their greens and sand bunkers: greens were in excellent condition, they were firm, yet held a ball well, with medium speed and fairly easy to read. Sand bunkers were top-notch, nice fluffy sand with no rocks. Course Design & Playability: ️️️️ This is a shorter course (6270 yards from the back tees) that can accommodate a variety of skill levels. They have a nice variety of holes and two of the best "drivable" par 4's in the state (holes 10 & 16). The front nine is a traditional parkland design with mature trees lining the fairways and many of the holes playing along or near the Price river. The back nine is an open, semi-links style design, and is the shorter of the two nines. Off-Course Amenities: ️️️️️ They have a short game practice area just west of the clubhouse that is as good a facility as you will find.

I thoroughly enjoyed this fine course - one of my favorites - on Wednesday, 25 September as one the 9 courses played on my Utah golf vacation. Such a beautiful course in a stunning setting...and such a professional operation - especially for such a tucked away, small-town course - led by golf pros Tom King and Kenji Otani. Both of these gentlemen were so helpful! The older undeveloped front 9 is most beautiful, IMO - although only slightly so - with its traditional configuration, larger trees and thus more shade. The more developed back 9 - although not overly so - was more open and visually stunning with a few really fun elevated tee boxes - #10 & #11...especially #10...wow! Holes #15-17 are beautifully designed with wide fairways and tucked back into an undeveloped canyon. I was pleased to find the snack bar, conveniently attached the fully-stocked pro shop open, with outdoor covered-deck seating with beautiful views of #1-3 and surrounding bluffs and mesas. Great burgers! Hope to be back next year!

I love this course. Some fun elevation changes and beautiful scenery. The course provides some nice challenges and some getable holes.

This golf course is really something special. The front nine is a tight track with really mature trees and challenging greens. Very scenic as you play up against a cliff backdrop. The back nine offers risk reward holes with several drivable par 4s. Number 10 has a great elevated tee shot that is memorable long after the round is over. Seth has done a fantastic job this year with course renovations and upgrades including: additional tee boxes, new benches, new flags, concrete work, proper drainage, and wider range of Carbon merchandise! Greens are rolling nice for early in the year. If you get a chance to talk with Mike before your round you will feel like you have been friends for years. This is a nice touch. Lance and Jim do a fantastic job keeping things running smoothly. Carbon is more than worth the trip if you are within a couple hours. The country club dining experience is open to the public and offers gorgeous views while you enjoy a superb meal and full drink menu. If this course is not in your radar, you have been warned.. you are missing out.
