Hit this course on the way home from a St George golf trip and it was a nice little 9 hole course! This course would be great for beginners as it’s very forgiving. Well kept too! They said it’s pretty easy to walk on which is nice and I recommend trying it out!

Drove up from Cedar City with my son because every tee time in Washington County and Cedar was somehow booked solid by last night. Pistol Rock saved the day with plenty of open spots and some genuinely friendly staff. The course is tucked into the trees, which meant I actually kept my golf balls out of the desert for once. It’s not the longest course, and honestly that’s a good thing, because even I could put up a respectable score and walk off feeling pretty good about myself. Capped it off with food at Filly’s Carhop, which was freaking dee-lish. Solid drive, fun golf, great food, and good time with my kid. Highly recommend skipping the Washington County tee time scramble and heading up here instead.

BEST PIT STOP ON THE WAY TO ST GEORGE! Extremely impressed with all that the new ownership is putting into this golf course. Also has a really good ice cream shop. Less than a minute off the highway for some good ice cream.

I’m from Colorado and was visiting family in Fillmore when I decided to play a round at Pistol Rock Golf Course. I was really impressed! The course was in great shape and very affordable. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The pace of play was great, and the scenery made the round even more enjoyable. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend checking it out. I’ll be back the next time I’m visiting family!

MUST READ: I have played this course a number of times and for the price I thought it was a good deal. BUT, since the new ownership has taken, over this course is AMAZING! They have improved all of the grass, the greens are fantastic, tee boxes amazing, fairways well kept. I mean out of anything in UT County I'd take this course now any day. Plus they have new carts, improved club house interior, and very kind ownership. I'd highly recommend this course to anyone.
