Got paired up with a group of 3 (as I booked a single tee time as I’m visiting from outta town) we all hit it off and had a great time! Great course even during the winter months! If your in the RGV just visiting this is one of the must stop courses! Wish I would have played here first day, would have skipped another course as this was far better than others in the area

My first round golfing at Tierra Santa was unfortunately spoiled by significant delays. From the start, a group of five teed off ahead of us—before the starter—which worsened the pace of play and resulted in a round lasting over five hours. Mind you every hole was backed up with most times two groups waiting at the box. The most frustrating moment came when the older gentleman course marshal instructed our twosome, and same was told to the group behind us, to "go ahead and tee off" while we were clearly waiting for the group ahead to clear before we teed off. This felt inconsistent, especially since the larger group was allowed to play without intervention. If pace of play was a priority, it would have made more sense to address the root cause earlier. Given the course’s reputation, I expected better management of group sizes and flow. Allowing a group of five on a busy day contributed significantly to the congestion. With better oversight, this could have been a much more enjoyable experience.

Terrible experience: Firstly, the course was nearly an hour and forty-five minutes behind tee times. We didn't necessarily mind as we were out of town visiting friends but then they had the nerve to have the marshall running around the course harassing customers when we were 10 minutes ahead of pass the entire course. The worst part is the marshall wasn't enforcing play speed or course rules but making un-necessary commentary insulting our players like he him self was Tiger Woods. Nothing but a miserable old man who clearly is past his working days. Secondly, after confirming they would have two sets of club rentals for us, which they did not, they insisted on charging us twice and taking both credit cards. Then had the nerve to close the pro-shop before half of the players on the course returned leaving several people stranded without their licenses, credit cards, etc.. I've been golfing for 20 years and never experienced anything like what we did on this course. The ONLY reason I gave anything more than one star is the fact the greens were in pristine condition. Not good. Go elsewhere and save your money and frustrations.

Tierra Santa NEVER disappoints. The course is in EXCELLENT SHAPE. Despite the lack of rain. Fairway grass was soft, greens were fast, tee boxes nice and clean. By far the best course in the RGV, just my opinion.

Great layout and very playable for all levels of golfers. It can play as hard as you want or less challenging based on the tees you play. Greens were perfect. The entire staff could not be more welcoming
