I didn't play it, but wanted to see what the whole Willie Nelson thing was all about. By the looks of hole one and putting green, it's needs some love. I would have liked to see the layout as I read the course has character and a good layout. Maybe in the near future, but not this time.

Might be worst golf course I ever played. Own by Willie Nelson. Asked a local who lives in neighborhood and he stated they have no interest in upgrading the golf course. Basically 9 holes in wilderness. Greens OK but fairways looked like they get mowed once a month. They really don't have a cart path. What they do have it looks like it's been jack hammered. Need a Atv not a golf cart. I won't be back.

Hey y'all, I'm a 9th generation Texan. I was born in Austin and grew up in the surrounding hill country. Willie has always been a legend in my life. In fact, my father helped set up the stage for Willie and Chris Christopherson before I was born at the old Broken Spoke. I was very much looking forward to going out to this course with my family and give our kids their first golf course experience. They have been practicing and playing small courses but this was going to be their 1st real golf course. It seemed like it was going to be a great time. We were greeted nicely and I asked Patrick when we got there if it was a good place to let the kids play and a chill environment. He said it was and didn’t charge our 2 youngest because he said, Willie wouldn't charge for them. We were off to a great start and feeling great vibes. Due to the fact there were 5 of us, we let anyone behind us play through on the very 1st hole. Once it was our time to play, Patrick immediately drove up to us and told us he didn’t think we belonged there and we would be best to be at a driving range. The positive energy we had immediately shifted to negative as we felt like we weren't welcome even when taking in consideration the typical golf courtesies. My husband is a regular player of golf so he wanted to ensure we weren't slowing anyone down. It was a rugged but cool course and we met a kind lady with her daughters whom we bought some homemade memorabilia from. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to enjoy the experience after starting off with the negative energy and unwelcome vibes that Patrick gave us. Willie, we love you but it looks like we won't be coming back to this one. I hope this review helps to keep othere from sharing the same experience. Genuinely the worst golf course I’ve played. No upkeep whatsoever and some of the cart paths are just straight up dangerous and you can easily flip over. Your time and money is better spent at Hancock or Lions downtown. Even with no additional cart fee $25 is way too much for how terrible the course is. Don’t pay for 9 much less 18 holes.

This course was terrible. Fairways were like hitting a ball on the cart path. This courses looked like it has not been water in 10 years. No driving range and putting green did not have any actual holes. Not to mention the actual cart path could be used as a bike trail that’s how bad they were. Never going here again. This course is the worst I’ve seen in my life. Lucky my tire did not get popped. 👎
