Great condition and is kept up well. A great course and will play more, especially great if you have the Alamo City Golf Pass the gives you free rounds with your membership, free if you walk or under $21 with a cart. Can’t beat that!

This is a very good course. It is well maintained, fairways are in great shape and the greens are excellent. The entire course staff are courteous and professional. Definitely one of San Antonio's top public courses.

Greens are in great shape. Fairways need better care. Too many bare spots in the middle of the fairways.

I learned to play golf at Riverside in 1959. I was 11 years old. No lessons no clubs just go and play with friends. At the time there was no back side across the river. We hunted rabbits and rode horses over there. The front side had the original 9 holes. There were two more par 4s and 9 par 3s. This was my first time playing since the new modification . I was very impressed with the new additions. Greens were great, lots of grass in fairways .most impressed by the tree trimming. Lower branched trimmed to allow a little more openness to fairways. New bathroom at number 7 plus updating clubhouse. I will be back. Brought back lots of memories.

Today is March 11 2026. Riverside looks far better than the other courses on Alamo trails. It was absolutely gorgeous. Greens were in great shape fairways were mowed perfectly. Thanks go out to the grounds crew. Played today Riverside looks great played great what a change from a few months ago. August 2025. These guys did a great job taken care of the greens. Don’t know how they did it but looks great. Here is another review for Riverside April 2025. Please avoid this course for the next few months. Greens are in terrible shape. This is the worst they have been. If you hit the green might as week mark down a two and pick up your ball. If not then add 4 strokes. Staff said that the previous superintendent used the wrong thing on greens and burned them. This is the worst greens in the city. Sorry but have to tell it as it is. Going to add pictures. Today is March 2025 and played today. The greens were in really bad shape do not understand why. This place was just redone 18 months ago. I have taken pictures of the greens really bad shape for spring. Second time I have played here. It was in a lot better shape this time hopefully in the weeks coming it will continue it will get better and better. The only thing is the slow play of people that have never played or just a couple of times. They are so slow. Can we get a Marshall out to speed it up. Never seen anyone two weeks in a row except the starter. I know there are no carts there yet but you could get one for a Marshall. Update we played here for the third time Mar 9, 2024 place was in great shape. Very nicely maintained. Greens are still being sanded from the remodel of the course. But overall it was in great shape. Hit a 82 today. Another great outing at Riverside today. It was in fantastic shape. The best shape of any course on Alamo trails in my opinion. The only problem is is they’re gonna have carts soon and the place is gonna be ruined because of people that don’t know how to 90°. I wish they would make it only pushcarts. However I know that can’t happen and it will look like Olmos before you know it. May 1st 2024 another great golf day with Alamo Trailsand Riverside. Hit an 83 today here’s a few picks
