Fun public course. The staff is very friendly. We didn’t have a tee time and they were able to get us on pretty quickly. The greens are in pretty good shape, be prepared for lots of sand! We got through 18 holes in just over three hours. It was a lot of fun.

We played 2 days in a row while we were down for our daughter’s college tour! We absolutely loved the course and the man in the pro shop was the absolute best! The course is beautiful and very well maintained! We will definitely be back

I booked a Saturday morning tee time one day prior. The lady stated I would be paired with a twosome at 1020. When I got to the course the twosome was changed to a foursome. The staff was very accommodating and paired me with two others with a similar tee time. One of the gentlemen in the pro shop did a nice job showing me where everything was while checking in. It was my first time in San Angelo and the first time at Quicksand. The course was very fun, weather was great, playing partners were amazing, and pace of play was good too. The courses draw is their bunkers and I did well to avoid the majority of them. 10/10 experience. Greens were absolutely perfect. Thanks Sammie and Angie. Thanks Quicksand! **Hole 5 is cart path only** I got in trouble by the marshal, honest mistake by my part for not reading. It's even posted in the cart. Sorry!

I travel alot for work so I play as much as I can, when I can. I've played all up I20 towards Dallas and even up in Oklahoma. Played in Alpine and Marfa as well. The reason for saying all that, is this is hands down the best public golf course that I've played on for the cost that it was. Fairways are in amazing shape, greens are amazing, so MANY sand traps, I was in disbelief how many there were on some holes. Definitely challenges your accuracy. Marshalls are constantly going around checking on face of play and I love that. I've played at places 3x's the amount to play here that weren't close to the quality of this course. I will definitely be back to play here again.

This course was in really bad shape. We had a foursome that traveled to play there and we were disappointed with how bad of shape it was in. Greens were decent, but for the price, not worth playing. I would suggest playing a course worth the price. Not sure what has happened to the course, but two years ago it looked nice when my son played it in High School. Lots of dead patches around the greens and lots of grass patches where they lost some. It has lots of square grass patches where they are trying to infuse it with the sides of the greens trying to keep grass around the greens. I know they are trying to keep it alive, but it just looks really bad there were squares everywhere. All four of our guys were disappointed in the course and disappointed that we drove all the way over to play a course in that kind of shape. The staff however were friendly.
