I've driven past this place so many times but was finally able to book a tee time! While the main facilities are currently being renovated I had no problem finding the pro shop. Upon arriving in the pro shop I was welcomed warmly and given a few tips for the course. I ended up getting paired with a group who lived in the community and they showed me around the course! My only regret was that I played better. Such a beautiful course and challenging layout without having greens so fast that only a pro could putt on them.

The city did a good job in returning the club and restaurant to a very nice level. Unfortunately, the Par 3 and the Executive 9 were left in grassland status. No swimming pools and there were two. The La Quinta course redo has taken significantly longer in comparison to those at Riverbed and Sugar Creek. All n' all it is a vast improvement from the declining years, yet, nowhere near its glory days. In short, its a very good place to go if you are not a member of a CC, do not want to swim or play more than one course.

The staff are friendly. Got a nice rental Callaway set for 75$. Driving range for 8$ a bucket. The course is nice, well maintained and challenging. Good pace of play during weekdays.

Very challenging course. Wasn't to expensive it would say fairly priced. Golf carts were comfortable and had a screen for recording the scores. Only thing I didn't like is the 10th hole does not start next to the clubhouse which means you need to rely on the cart girl to aquire snacks and drinks throughout the round. But even with that being said we always had chances to buy drinks or snacks from the cart girl. So only thing we missed on was catching some air conditioning on the turn.

Have played at QV for years. 2 good courses, reasonably priced. For the past year plus, the La Quinta course has been under renovation and closed. It has been very difficult to get a tee time at the remaining course, El Dorado, due to the high volume of players. I have been told La Quinta is to open back up on March 31. Unfortunately, renovations are to begin on El Dorado at this time. Looks like another year of going to other courses that aren't so busy. I will be looking forward to playing the renovated courses when an opportunity comes up. Update : have found out the course is due to open at the end of May. The other course, El Dorado, is not going to close. It was renovated some years ago. Have also been told there are lots of new things around the course. Sand hazards, water, new cart paths, improved watering system, & changes from the old layout. It may be "cart path only" for the entire course for some time, potentially up to a year. Hoping to get a chance to play the renovated course but doubt I'll be able to get a tee time for quite a while. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.
