I had the opportunity to play here as a guest of a member. It was a beautiful day and the course was in fine shape. The fairways were green and nicely mowed, the greens were large, rolling and well maintained. The tee boxes could use some TLC. They were a bit beaten up. The staff was super friendly. The practice range was in great condition and maintained. Overall a great experience! I look forward for an opportunity to return.

Recently had interaction with the membership director (Kristen) - It has not been a pleasant experience. I didn't appreciate the air of snobbiness. An attitude of "we don't care if you join or not" was in the air. I felt this person was rude to me. I am sure this is a fantastic course and this is not a review of their policy whatsoever. Just a review of my experience with an individual. The policy requiring golfers to join for a minimum of a year does not align with my work and this is fully understandable.

I was a member at Lake Windcrest and ultimately decided to leave. I would not recommend joining this club under the current ownership, course conditions, how they treat members, and management philosophy. The golf course conditions have been unacceptable for an extended period of time. The club recently completed significant sod work, but this comes after a lengthy period where portions of the course were in terrible condition. Irrigation, mowing, turf maintenance and even basic upkeep of the driving range have consistently fallen short. The range is frequently unmowed and full of weeds. These are basic golf-course maintenance fundamentals that simply have not been executed properly. What has been especially frustrating is how the situation has been handled with the members. During this extended repair process, the club has offered discounted guest fees, while members, the people paying dues and keeping the club afloat, have repeatedly asked for nearly two months what accommodations, credits or incentives would be offered to them. Management has largely refused to address the question and instead offered 50% discounted guest fees! At the same time, Invited Clubs continues to maximize outside tournaments and events. From a member’s perspective, it feels as though generating outside revenue consistently takes priority over delivering an acceptable golf experience to the membership. There are positives. The MGA is phenomenal, fun course layout, and the members and people at Lake Windcrest are outstanding. That’s what makes the situation so disappointing. But the golf course itself is currently a joke relative to what members are paying. In my opinion, some of the conditions would not be acceptable at a $25 municipal golf course, much less a private club charging this much money. I would not recommend joining Lake Windcrest under the current circumstances. At best, this is a 2-star golf facility until ownership and management demonstrate that maintaining the course and taking care of the membership are actually priorities.

Absolutely beautiful course and layout. Giant pines line every hole but fairways are wide enough to be manageable for amateurs. Great service too. Highly recommend.
