Played HMR today. Range was good. Chatted to a few members. Great vibe. Course in superb condition except for some scraggy spots on the green on 14 & 18. Fairways and tee boxes are good. Scenery (deer) always a joy. Best public course in Houston area along with Highland Pines. Pro shop attendant was friendly, welcoming - couldn’t have done more. Great job! Starters on Hole #1 were jovial, fun, encouraging & welcoming. Nice work! Ogie’s grill staff - brilliant. Course Marshall. WTH! Politely ‘encouraged’ my fourball to play a little catch up after 9th hole as we were a hole behind. Fair enough. What was not ok, was he then decided to basically troll our group every 15 minutes. Eventually he belittled us on 17th tee box saying ‘we were 25 mins’ behind the group in front. He rode way too close alongside us looking for an argument. By the time the 17th rolls around, your point of slow play is pointless. Any damage is done. You basically spent 90 mins trolling us and being bothersome. For the record, our friendly fourball match was finished in 4hrs 17 mins - for a weekend round that’s acceptable anywhere in Houston. When we were on 17th green the group in front was on 18 green. So 1 hole behind….. go figure. So overall - great job HMR. Top course. Mostly brilliant staff, but wind your Marshall’s neck in. Totally unnecessary and took the shine off a great day.

Course is in great shape. Greens were good only a few spots under repair, but all in all they rolled true. Weather was perfect with a light breeze. Course is super fun to plan. You could hit off the grass at the range which was nice. Didn't get to food as our round ended late but the beer was cold. Highly recommended!

We played here yesterday. Staff was friendly, course was beautiful and price was fair. I will definitely be coming back!

First off, course is in great shape ! Glad this public course is still around too many private courses these days!! However this place is horribly ran top to bottom! I have asked for the head pro in person and over the phone and never hear back!! It’s like he is a ghost! I was considering membership but dude is never there!!! There are always children in the afternoon, some a very disrespectful, especially while I was in the grill,( parents do better!) overall place is good shape ,bad people working and really punk kids! However the teenager and older gentleman think his name was Aaron was nice though in proshop! Guy had a ton of stories, if I had time I’d listen.. High meadow ranch. 4-10, some small changes and place would be killer!!
