Today, my friends and I had another fantastic outing at Lost Pines golf course, our second visit in nearly a year. The weather was perfect, and we enjoyed the game even more this time around. The staff were incredibly courteous and professional, ensuring a delightful customer experience. The greens were lightning-fast, requiring careful attention to avoid overshooting with the putter. The lady at the counter provided thorough instructions on where to go and how to play, including details about the driving range and our tee time. Tiny’s cafe offered a great spot for drinks, snacks, and a restroom break before the 1st and 10th holes, as well as after the 11th. Their breakfast tacos were deliciously generous, and I was impressed by the taste of the chicken salad sandwich. Restrooms were conveniently located near the 5th and 18th holes. Holes 14, 16, and 17 proved to be the most challenging, but still immensely enjoyable, though expect to lose a few balls. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we can't wait to return!

The staff boosted this from 4 stars to 5. Course was beautiful. Some green issues on the back nine, but overall in good shape. (14 holes were in peak condition) Check in process, staff, amenities were all excellent. Practice area is small but well maintained….range balls all stocked ready to go. I was able to go practice some easily the day before our round. Staff was super helpful and upbeat. I witnessed the club pro giving some lessons when I was practicing and he was super positive, encouraging, and seemed very very good at helping both students he worked with. He asked me how I was doing and to let him know if I needed anything. I felt like it was in line with what I would expect. My wife and I played by ourselves and played on a Sunday in 3 hours. (Awesome) All in all - it was a positive experience. We will return!

What happened Lost Pines? This used to be my favorite course and worth the drive out! Every green had issues today, some unplayable. Pace of play was 5 hours on a weekday morning. No Marshall or cart service and we were stuck behind a 5 some. Hope they can turn this around. Really love the layout. For now Save your money and gas mileage.

We had an amazing time at Lost Pines with our family of three and are already planning to return next year. The experience was wonderful overall. I did not run into one staff member that was having a bad day—and that's staying something! One suggestion would be to expand the family-friendly dining options—perhaps adding a Tex-Mex restaurant to complement the resort’s Western theme, or incorporating a hibachi option into the sushi restaurant which we did not visit. As it stands, we found ourselves dining at Mavericks each evening and would have appreciated a bit more variety.

I played here recently. The layout is nice and the course was in decent condition overall. However, the greens were extremely slow—by far the slowest I’ve experienced in Texas, rolling at about half the speed of the next slowest I’ve played. The greens fee was quite expensive, and the cart geofencing was overly restrictive and annoying. Topography of the course was cool though. The pro shop and bar were already closed by the time we finished around 5pm, which was disappointing as I wanted to buy a shirt. It’s a pretty course but the combination of slow greens, high price, and restrictions made it less enjoyable than expected.
