Update: I wanted to update this review because Marc, the General Manager, reached out to me personally after I posted it. He explained that what happened was actually a mistake on their end, apologized, and issued us a full rain check. I honestly didn't expect that. I really appreciate the way Marc handled the situation. Mistakes happen, but the fact that he reached out, made it right, and is using it to better train the staff completely changed my impression. That's the kind of customer service that makes me want to come back. Original Review: I had a really disappointing experience today. A major storm rolled in today and we had to stop playing before even completing three holes. When we got back to the pro shop, we found out the rain check would be prorated based on the holes played. I’ve played a lot of golf, and I’ve never had a course issue only a partial rain check when weather makes the course unplayable. What makes it worse is that this policy was never disclosed, not at check-in, not by the starter, not by the pro shop, and not on the website. This is already an expensive course, range balls cost extra, and the practice facilities don’t really match the price. To then nickel-and-dime golfers over a weather event completely outside their control leaves a really sour impression. It feels like Foresight Golf values maximizing revenue over taking care of customers. Is keeping an extra $15–20 really worth making people not want to come back?

This has been my home course for years. It's a fun layout, staff is great but the cost has become completely unjustified considering the overall condition of the course. Greens are extremely hard (as in approach shots will not stick). The greens are also extremely slow, patchy and maintained at a generally substandard level given the price. Bunkers are compact and tee boxes are not rotated enough and it shows. Comparing the quality of the $100+ price point to other $100+ rounds in the Austin area, this course is severely lacking. I'd even consider a couple of the Austin municpals in better shape than Plum Creek. Overall, it seems like they are cheaping out on the maintenance and taking advantage of being the only game in town. The course is crowded most days but I find that is more due to a lack of options in a fast growing area than it is an endorsement of the course. There is only 1 other course within 30 mins of their location. And that course is in San Marcos. My advice to management, I don't blame you for wanting to maximize the margins but with Hays county growing as fast as it is, it's only a matter of time until a developer comes with plans for a new course in the area. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Pro-shop staff was friendly and courtious. Golf course conditions were really good. A few rough spots on a couple of the greens but the majority of the greens and fairways were nice. The pace of play was really good at just under 4 hours for our two groups. Good job Plum Creek staff. We had a group of "old" friends from Houston and everyone had a great time.

Fun, short course. Staff is friendly. The course itself isnt worth the money. It's a glorified muny. It was in decent shape. On a Monday morning pace of play on the front was ideal. As we made the turn to the back, approaching 11, a group of five showed up out of nowhere. Barefooted, driving their cart anywhere but where it should be, including across par 3s, throwing balls down wherever. They were aware we, a twosome, were behind them and they never let us pass. We waited on every hole for them until they stumbled to their cars. On 16 tee a course rep came by and we asked where they came from. We were told they were "with the Kyle PD." Great but yet embarrassing reps for the department, even worse golfers.

I have played many rounds of golf at Plum Creek and really enjoyed the course and for sure the staff. After a long time gone I played the other day with my wife and this time the entire place has changed (very professional) and the course great. Again, the staff was great. Jack, for sure for I have know him for many years and he is great. I am looking forward to playing more and Plum Creek will be the main one. Very nice guys, keep up the great service.
