Frisco Lakes is a 'must-play' but don't let the wide fairways fool you. If the wind is blowing, this course shows its teeth. The bunker placements are strategic and the greens have some tricky undulations. If you can handle the breeze off the lake, you'll have a blast. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a challenging but fair test of golf in North Texas.

I was visiting from Virginia and played a round at Frisco Lakes Golf Club on 3/26. I’ll start with the positives, the golf course itself is in good shape, and I initially thought I was getting great value since the green fee included a “free” hot dog, bag of chips, and a beer. Unfortunately, that’s where things went very wrong. My group of three grabbed food from the snack shop. Shortly after, all three of us got extremely sick. Easily the worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve had it while traveling internationally before. In my case, it got so severe that I fainted, hit my head, and had to go to the emergency room. I was told I was severely dehydrated, had low blood pressure, and tested positive for a bacterial infection. The other two in my group got equally as sick with the same symptoms. What was supposed to be a highlight golf trip to play the famous Fields Ranch in Frisco Texas ended up being completely ruined because of this experience. The course conditions may be solid, but I strongly recommend avoiding the food here until there are serious improvements to sanitation and food handling.

The staff , service and food here are always 10 out of 10. So many things to choose from on menu! I’m vegan but my kids enjoy it all . The view is gorgeous, great place for a family dinner or a casual night out. Let me also mention they make one of my favorite cocktails, and it’s a nice hideout to catch the game!

This is a public course with the amenities of a Private Country Club. You have a large practice facility for putting, short game, and driving range. The course layout is very scenic for it to be within the city. You get a chance to play on Lake Lewisvile. The greens and fairways were in good shape. There are 2 beverage carts, one for the front and one for the back. You will only see them once due to the layout of the course, so stock up when you see them. This was my first time playing here and I enjoyed myself. The price shocked me but it was about what I would have spent at another course. Saturday tee fees include Food and Drinks after your round inside their bar and grill. The food is good. They are know for their pizza. I had the buffalo chicken wrap. Delicious!!! If you got some time on your hand, explore this course. The rough is slightly high so be prepared to add another stroke to your score if you can't deal with high grass. I shot a 91. It could have been lower if I would learn how to putt. 🤣. I will be back. Thank you. The only thing I will say is fix your GPS screen display. I couldn't Bluetooth my phone onto the cart as instructed. I would have given 5 stars if they would have worked. Overall I enjoyed myself and won $400 from my friend.

Played Frisco Lakes yesterday. I really do like the layout and the course itself was in pretty good shape. Pace of play is horrendous. They continue to send folks off at 8 minute intervals. The starter gives a good speech about the Marshall system in the carts and that it will report you if you are holding things up, but in practice it is not working well at all. We waited on EVERY SHOT and tee boxes were a good 10 minute wait. the round took just under 6 hours. I understand there is a balance between tee time intervals and course profitability, that is a decision they control. I will not be back until they make some needed adjustments.
