Course has a challenging layout with tight fairways, undulations, and some blind approaches into the greens. However, the course needs work. Fairways are burnt up from the summer sun already, greens need a lot of work (not to mention the illegal pin placements). It’s very hard to read putts here, at least for me it is. The course has so much potential, but I personally don’t think it’s worth it. I play at another course in the area for the same price or sometimes cheaper, and they’ve done a TON of work, and that course is damn near immaculate. Drinks are expensive, food is expensive. I paid $43 for 18 and a cart, decided to play 9 more and they charged me $24. Pretty crazy for this course if you ask me. Carts seem like they’re on their last leg too. Some struggle up hill, and most have bald tires. I’ve had flat tires a time or two. You won’t find me playing here much unless it’s for a tournament.

We were visiting in the area while hubby is on a work trip. We wanted to go in a round of golf date. Green fees and club rentals were very reasonable. They also had drinks available, and the staff was friendly and made it easy to book a tee time. Best to call them to schedule a T time. The course itself is well maintained and offers a fun challenge with rolling hills and several water hazards. The only downside was that the golf carts felt a bit outdated and got stuck a few times. You also need to have base access to get to the golf course. Overall, it was a great place to get out and enjoy a round of golf while visiting the area.

Course in pretty good shape. Winter over- seeding happening. Some greens need help, but overall in decent shape. Get out and play!

Greens and fareways are kept. Carts seem a little beat up and snack bar seemed unfriendly with no visible menu.

The Commander of Fort Hood should be ashamed. What an embarrassment. Copperas Cove is better than on base. Greens are closer to sand traps with no green just sand and rocks, sand traps are closer to parking lots, tee boxes and fairways look like neglected shopping mall landscaping. The entire course is garbage nowadays. Very very very disappointing.
