Very plush course great pace of play Sunday & course is in great shape. Fast smooth greens, fairways are plush and trimmed, bunkers are white sand. Marshal kept the groups spread out and was not pushed or waiting. 18 holes in 4 hours.

Drove an hour to get here. They let a group of 8 tee off before us at OUR tee time because they were late. That is unacceptable….. we have called the pro shop 3 times since it’s been 2 hours and we have not teed off on 6 yet. I have literally never seen abytbing like this. We were 40 minutes early and ready to go and the Marshall made us wait for a group of 8….. we have called the pro shop several times and they said they would send someone and NOTHING.! Spent 155 dollars to have the worst golfing experience of my life. We called the pro shop 4 times in total and not once did they send someone. It was ONE group they could have asked to pick it up. That was such a miserable experience and they did nothing to help after the amount of money we spent 5 hours and 43 minutes for a round of golf we drove over an hour so we could be early and now it’s 1.5 hours home after straight misery. We WATCHED THEM take 2-3 practice swings on EVERY shot to duff it 10 yards in front of them and when they made contact it went OB. The fact that your pro shop didn’t even bother to help is embarrassing

Oh my goodness im visiting from 1hr 30 mins away for tge first time here and one star review is too good for my experience today. 1st we got skipped on our tee time of 740am by a group of 7 yup seven. That group is sloooooow were 5 hours in and only on hole 14. I absolutely dont recommend this golf course, no Marshall has been seen even after we called the office to complain. BLACKHORSE deserves a negative ZERO Stars, I will be telling all my golfing friends to not come here. Hope the manager or owner reads this. $150 WASTED MONEY

Over 150 dollars for a round that has no Marshall helping with pace of play is the biggest joke I have ever seen on a golf course. The 90 year old starter let a group tee off on our tee time that literally got there after us. That group happened to be the worst golfers I have ever seen in my entire life. The pro shop was called multiple times and each time they stated they would come help. No one came and at 5 hours we got to hole 15 and there was a heavy set Marshall sitting there in the cart chilling so we asked him to please ask them to skip a hole or do something and he laughed at us. I have never even had a nightmare of a course letting this happen. Let alone one we drove an hour to and were at the tee box before the people they let go. The hole day would have been different if he did his job and didn’t let them take our tee time because they were late. I had to wait after every darn shot all day long and not only was it miserable in the heat I had a horrible day of golf. The hole experience was awful.

I play locally and like to go around the Houston area to try new courses. Blackhorse may be one of the most overpriced courses around. It’s in pretty good shape but not worth $140-$160…that’s ridiculous and I’m one to shell that out at nice courses. On top of that they say that includes range balls but you have to make sure they don’t charge you…no Marshalls either patrolling. I finished my round in 4 hours tho.
