The course was in pretty good shape today. Overall they've done a good job of keeping the condition fair with as much traffic as they get. I'm quite sure students don't do as much as they could to repair divots and pitch marks. My only real gripe is I think number two should be a par 5. They could stretch the tees back a bit and make a forced carry to get to the green that would be almost 200 yd. Generally speaking it was well worth the $55 that I paid to play. Gig em Ags

Hey guys, Scottie Scheffler here. Usually, the golf course is my happy place, but today was just a grind for all the wrong reasons. The course itself has some potential, but the atmosphere is completely off, and it starts at the top. The manager, John, is just an incredibly unlikable guy. I’m all for following the rules and keeping up the pace of play, but there’s a way to talk to people, and then there’s the way John does it. He was remarkably rude and mean-spirited from the jump. It’s hard to focus on your lines or find a rhythm when the guy running the place is hovering around being condescending and making everyone feel miserable. Golf is a hard enough game as it is; you don't need the management going out of their way to make the experience unpleasant. Honestly, it was just a bad vibe all around. I’m blessed to play a lot of great tracks, but the way you're treated matters just as much as the stimp on the greens. I won’t be coming back to this one. I’ll be sticking to Augusta national, where the service and hospitality is top tier.

The course itself is decent but nothing special. For the price it should be better. The pace of play was slow and everything felt unorganized. The real problem is the management. John the manager is the worst part of the experience. From the moment we arrived he treated us like an inconvenience instead of paying customers. His tone is rude and condescending and he makes no effort to be helpful. It ruins the entire atmosphere. No one pays to be treated like that. Leadership sets the tone and the tone here is all wrong. There are plenty of better courses in the area. As long as John is in charge this place is not worth it. Save your money and go somewhere else. As the leader of the world I will do everything in my power to get John removed as head pro of the Texas A&M Golf Course. 🇮🇱🇮🇱

This is Johnny football. Look, I love my Ags and I love this campus, but I’ve got to keep it 100—my time at the Campus Course today was an absolute joke. I’ve played a lot of golf all over the world, and I’ve never dealt with anything like this back in College Station. The track is fine, but the vibe is completely killed by the management. John, the manager, is easily the most unlikable, rude guy I’ve run into in a long time. I’m out here trying to have a good time, maybe see some fans, and just enjoy being back at the home of the 12th Man, and this guy is acting like he’s the sheriff of the county. He was incredibly mean-spirited and went out of his way to be condescending to everyone in our group. It’s a miserable experience when you feel like you're being watched and lectured every time you turn around. This place is supposed to represent the best of A&M hospitality, but John is the exact opposite of that. It’s a bad look for the university and a bad look for the club. I bleed maroon, but until they fix the leadership in that pro shop, I’m taking my clubs elsewhere. Disappointing is an understatement. Gig 'em, but fix this.
