While the course quality at Falconhead Golf Club is commendable, the overall value falls flat. For the steep price of admission, the sluggish pace of play and lackluster equipment make it incredibly difficult to justify a return visit. The fairways were in good shape, and the greens were impressively fast and rolled completely true. The pro shop staff were cordial. A huge plus goes to the cart girl, who was highly visible, exceptionally friendly, and attentive throughout the entire round. However, the green fees simply do not match the overall value of a public daily-fee course. The golf carts felt incredibly basic and outdated for the facility. Unlike the other golf courses with the same price point, you have to pay extra for range balls as they are not included in the green fee. Ultimately, the slow-paced round drained the fun out of the game. Btw, the marshal was nice and left us alone. If you exclusively care about beautiful fairways and fast greens you will find things to like here. However, given the high price tag, terrible pace management, separate driving range fees, and average golf carts, I will not pay to come back.

Falconhead has become much more than just my home golf course—it's become a place my family genuinely enjoys together. The course is always in great shape, offers a fun and challenging layout, and the practice facilities are outstanding. They've been a huge part of helping me improve my game over the past year. What really makes Falconhead special, though, is the people. Every member of the staff I've interacted with has been friendly, professional, welcoming, and eager to help. They consistently make you feel like they appreciate your being there, and that personal touch is what turns a very good golf experience into an exceptional one. One of the first staff members I ever interacted with, Vito, recently transferred to another course in the Falconhead family. When I realized that I wasn't going to be seeing him as much, I was truly saddened. To me, that speaks volumes. I've seen reviews from others who have had different experiences with the staff, and I'm certainly not trying to dismiss those. I can only speak from my own experience, which has been consistently excellent. In fact, my experience has been so positive that I first introduced one of my sons to Falconhead, then my other son, and now my wife has joined as well. That's probably the strongest endorsement I can give. We all look forward to spending time there, and Falconhead has become a place where our family creates memories together. Thank you to everyone at Falconhead for making us feel so welcome. We truly appreciate everything you do.

Course is very nice , fairways are wide open even though I never seemed to find one, and overall the facilities were pretty good. However, the staff, specifically the marshals and starters, were absolutely miserable. I wondered how such a nice course had such mediocre ratings. It became truly obvious when we had a marshal following us from hole to hole despite there being no groups behind us and us completing 18 well under 4.5 hours. They were all grumpy retiree types that I think would have their time better spent playing on their beautiful course instead of stalking the few customers they seem to attract despite their high prices and off putting staff.

The golf course is the best public track in the area. It's pricey and crowded at times, but there's new ownership and changes are in the works. Play it And dine at Talons Grill. Staff is fabulous (Brenda, Sky, Donald, Vito, Rocco, EJ, & Ben)... Keep up the awesome work!!!

This course is in my top 3 for the greater Austin area. I golfed here for the first time in mid June after 2 months of hot, stormy weather. The course was in exquisite shape. We all were impressed with the lush green grass and beautiful trees literally everywhere. The course is challenging but fun. The elevation of the course gives you several views overlooking the hill country. We played twilight golf and had plenty of light out till 8:30 pm. We played 12 holes It was about 92° with a wonderful light breeze the entire time. The staff and other golfers were friendly. We golfed on a Tuesday evening, but for some reason, the practice facilities were really busy so I practiced a few putts and chip shots and headed back to the cafe for a hot dog, bag of chips and an ice cold ice tea before teeing off at 5:30 pm. The pace of play was perfect for my foursome, but I could tell the guys behind us were a bit frustrated by the pace because they hit a few balls around us when we were on the greens. We let a single golfer play through, there was never any long backup of golfers waiting on the tee boxes and we kept up with the group in front of us by just playing a leisurely round of golf with some new friends. Heads up, the 7th hole is deceptively narrow and the 8th hole has a large moat in front of the green.
