Twin Creeks Golf Club is a beautiful course that offers a fantastic golfing experience, and overall, I’d give it a strong four stars. The layout of the course is one of its biggest strengths—it’s both challenging and enjoyable, with a good mix of holes that test different aspects of your game. The fairways are well-manicured, the greens roll true, and the natural scenery adds to the experience, making it one of the more scenic courses in the area. The staff deserves praise as well. From the pro shop to the course marshals, everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and committed to making the day enjoyable. The clubhouse is comfortable and provides a nice spot to relax before or after a round, with food and drinks that hit the spot. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that some areas of the course could use a bit more maintenance, particularly after heavy play or weather. A few bunkers and tee boxes showed signs of wear that detracted slightly from the overall experience. Additionally, pace of play can sometimes be slower than expected during peak hours. Still, Twin Creeks is a well-run, picturesque club that’s worth a visit. With just a bit more polish, it could easily be a five-star course.

Soft Lights, Slow Hops: An Evening at Twin Creeks Taproom In Allen, Texas—where the suburban horizon rolls in tidy geometries of brick and cul-de-sac—Twin Creeks Taproom opens like a sigh of relief. It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel; it’s just polishing it with a local ale and a bar towel. My wife, Vicki, and I found ourselves there last night, part of the hopeful congregation of the soft opening, where patience and curiosity are the evening’s unspoken specials. The space feels like a cozy pub translated through the language of new money—Edison bulbs dangling above tables that seem to invite both elbows and confidences, walls of dark wood catching the soft shimmer of the taps. There’s a whiff of ambition behind the comfort, a desire to make Allen feel, for an hour or two, like the corner of a more storied city. We began with two house favorites: a smash burger and a Korean-style chicken sandwich, both emblematic of modern American optimism—classic forms rebooted with global swagger. The burger arrived with a sear that bordered on romantic, its edges crisped to the brink of sin, cheese melting in polite surrender. The chicken sandwich—its glaze sweet, spicy, and just reckless enough—felt like the work of a kitchen that understands the balance between familiar pleasure and mild surprise. Service had that charming uncertainty of an early performance: a slight pause before the punchline, an extra moment to find the rhythm. But there was warmth in the hesitation, the kind that makes you root for the cast. If there’s a defining note to Twin Creeks Taproom, it’s sincerity. Nothing feels too calculated; the beers don’t arrive with dissertations about malt provenance, and the menu doesn’t try to impress you with adjectives. It’s a place that still believes in the social magic of the shared table, in the idea that food and beer are best when they spark conversation rather than silence it. As we finished our drinks and watched the evening’s low hum settle into something like confidence, I realized that Twin Creeks isn’t aiming for perfection—it’s aiming for belonging. And in a town where so much feels imported or impermanent, that’s a welcome ambition.

The guys in the clubhouse and the driving range were nice, but that's where it ends. First time playing today and the condition of the course is right there with the condition of the carts, poor is being nice. The greens are on par there with a $60 course. At $115 a person, its borderline robbery.

For $115 a person this is actual robbery, not borderline. No GPS in carts, the fairways not taken care of very well and some of the greens are in terrible shape. The bunkers have tiny rocks in them and most of them barely have any sand to even play in them. Hands down the worst value for golf in DFW. This is not an exaggeration at all.

I appreciate Mr Brian Locke, the General Manager, I'm not a resident here who came from South Korea to escape the winter, and I'd like to stay about 3 months visiting the Dallas area. Last year, I stayed in Fort Worth, This year, I stay in the Plano area. My spouse and I registered as members at the Twin Creeks Golf Course, an Arcis Golf group course. While the process was smooth for me, my spouse faced issues with the active setting. Mr. Brian Locke promptly and actively assisted, even coming to the range where I practice to resolve it. I am grateful for his kindness and proactive support. This golf course is vast and challenging, and despite the winter, the greenery adds vitality, making it a course (I feel that the 16th hole - a par 3, has a level of difficulty and is worth taking on as a challenge) I'd like to visit again.
