I thoroughly enjoyed my time as a volunteer on this beautiful estate, which has a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Pastor Perkins and his team, who are mostly volunteers, gave me the grand tour. They are wonderful and loving people who are dedicated to helping “All Veterans” no matter when or where the veteran served. The VVA provides guidance, counseling, homeless assistance, and adaptive sports needs for veterans and their families. In the works is adaptive ball golf where disabled veterans will be able to play with modified clubs without having to leave the golf cart. They have a nice and diverse 18-hole disc golf course that is open to the public for a $10 fee. Also, soon, they will offer equine (horse) therapy at an offsite location. Conveniently, and often a scarcity for veterans, they have a doctor available every other Friday. They also have a workout room and a kitchen/dining room/patio, which can be rented for picnics, etc. Please help our veterans by donating and/or volunteering for this great nonprofit organization.
