Island Pointe is one of the best public golf experiences I've had. The course was in phenomenal condition—beautifully maintained from tee to green, with thoughtful details like mowed walkways, multiple access points to most greens, and natural stairs that made navigating the course a pleasure. The layout is outstanding. Every hole feels unique, keeping the round fresh and engaging from start to finish. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the practice facilities—including the driving range, putting green, and chipping green—were all excellent. What really sets Island Pointe apart, though, is the hospitality. On a scorching hot morning, the staff drove around with a water jug to make sure everyone stayed hydrated and even thanked us for choosing to play there. That level of service is rare. They also provide complimentary course books, which is an incredible touch you almost never see anymore. Island Pointe has clearly thought through every aspect of the golfer's experience. I can't recommend it highly enough and will absolutely be back.

Really just a superb facility! We almost didn’t play here because of prior reviews but so we glad did! Course is in great shape and handled the rain really well. The people were just a joy to be around and we had a great time. The par 3’s over water are certainly challenging so club up and let it rip! We came down for a golf trip and it was worth it!

Great time. Fairways were in great shape. Greens are almost fake looking they’re so nice. The people were fun and a joy to be around. So glad we drove up to play here. Don’t worry about the bad reviews. Tee time : 8:30am. Done by 12:00pm.

This course had beautiful scenery, a perfect pace and such friendly workers. All the southern charm! I loved that parts of the course are literally in the French Broad River!

Great and challenging track! Very well maintained as well! Has a good layout with just about every hole being challenging but rewarding! If you want a chance to use every club in your bag go here! I would not recommend coming if you’re a beginner or new to golf!
