I’m 60 and have golfed for 50 years or so, playing hundreds of courses in the process. This course is definitely worth $40 to play for the greens alone. They were in fantastic shape. Golfers around these parts repair pitch marks more often than usual at this price point. The fairways and tee boxes were in good shape, too. Among the downsides is the layout, especially if you don’t like houses tight along many holes. Several teeboxes are right next to greens in a bad way, with one green in particular in range for someone to get maimed by a low, slicing, botched tee shot from the 10th tee. Tight quarters on much of the course means play is likely slow pretty often. (I got incredibly lucky as a single, but saw groups stacking up as my round progressed.) The back side offers some nice, long par threes, but I think there were four of them, not including the 17th, which was something silly like a 200-yard par 4. That may be the worst-designed hole ever, with a crowned hilltop green tight against woods and houses close along the right that must take constant punishment. It would be an amazing par 3 if the top tees were open and the houses weren’t in play, however. The cart paths punish the back and kidneys if you’re not careful, too. Tons of huge bumps and disrepair. The staff was friendly, and they offered a free yardage book for those playing the course for the first time, which was a nice touch. The driving range isn’t much, but at least they have one. Like I say, it’s definitely worth $40, and I’m glad I played it if only for the wacky layout experience.

Challenging course! Well maintained. Staff were awesome. New management too! They are very lady golfer friendly & getting in new women’s merchandise. My friend got an eagle on hole 17. Fun day!

We come here a few times a year would definitely come more if we had the chance !!

I will preface this with a massive shoutout to Jim. Super kind man and probably the only saving grace of our round. He allowed us to finish out our round after this ordeal. But I am also gonna say the GM Jeff is the rudest person I’ve ever met. Called the ranger on us for my 9 yr old arthritic dog (who normally never gets off the cart) having to come with us after an entire hole was basically roped off and I wasn’t leaving him alone. Meanwhile there’s a group behind us with their kids driving holes into the fair way with their parents clubs. So glad you saved your garbage fairways from my 10 lb dog. Spend your money literally anywhere else. We will not be back!

Over many years, my wonderful wife and I have played golf in every state except Alaska. We have played some beautiful courses, some where the pros play and several TPC courses, and we have dealt with countless staff people. And we must say that the staff at White Plains are some of the most gracious, friendly, and helpful people we have ever experienced. So, if you go to this course, and you have a bad experience, it's on you. These are great people, and they do an excellent job.
